| Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's. We can all use support. Today I am focusing on all the food groups. Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30. A Super long day. I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today. | ||

| Another holiday party tonight (wine and cheese this time). I love these get-togethers but they play havoc on healthy eating. I know I can limit the wine and cheese but my problem is that I dont' want to have to do that. I am driving so it is easy to limit the wine but the cheese and crackers get me every time. Any advice out there? Anyone else have this holiday dilemna? | ||

Here's what I've been doing this holiday season and it's working pretty well: I am really limiting my calories the day of the party by snacking only on low-cal things like sliced cucumber and hard-boiled egg whites. Then, an hour before the party, I eat a bowl of All Bran cereal (and drink a lot of water). That way I walk into the party full, but nevertheless with plenty of room in my calorie-count to splurge if there is a food I don't want to have to resist. I tend not to overdo it, since I am full o' fiber, but I have left myself the flexibility to enjoy the food at the party.
Hope this is helpful. |

| Is anyone using Curves as their workout? I joined up but now I'm not sure I'm burning enough calories there. My 3 months is getting closer then they can show me the advanced workout which is suppose to burn up to 500 calories depending on your effort. | ||

| FINALLY - I've made it into the club....after hovering at around 150.5lbs for 3 weeks, I was at 149.5 just before Christmas, 148 just after it, at 146 today. That said, I have a bad cold and haven't been eating or exercising. I'm hoping that the worst of it is over and am expecting some weight gain once I get back to eating properly again. In any case, I'm under 150!!! Yay!!! | ||

| I think I belong in this club. Right now I'm between 142-145 depending on whateva and my ultimate goal weight is 130lb. But I would be happy with 135lb for a short term goal. Also, I want to start weight training again which can make losing pounds a slower process but your body doesn't lie and it only changes for the better with strength training, at least, that's been my experience in the past when I was motivated enough to do weights regularly. Thanks for all the support and keep it up, we are all beautiful, and once we believe it we'll be truly awake! | ||

I'm around 138 right now, hoping to drop down to my normal size 108-115 lbs.
What the suburbs do to you...I'm finally adjusting. Now I know why I see so many people running all the time here. |

| 140 looking for 125. HELP! | ||

|
I don't know if I belong here because I want to get under 130, but I've spent the past 6 months between 150-135, so I figured this was it. I'm 20 years old, a university student. I started off at 175 a year and a half ago, now I'm looking to get down to 125. This morning I woke up at 133. I believe that the best way to lose weight is to change your methods as soon as your results start to slow down. Lately, I've been eating lots of Subway because it's the only place (fast food or no fast food) where I actually have to try to break 500 calories/meal. I want to get under 130 before Jan. 15th, and right now it's really hard. However, I started doing crunches a few weeks ago and now my stomach is flat for the first time ever! |

| Hi - I am new here. I just need support to make a change! I don't really get support from my friends b/c they think I don't need to lose weight. I know better. My goal may be small but it's a big deal to me and I haven't been able to make the change on my own. When I had my kids I nursed them both to 13 months and never felt better. I was walking or rollerblading 4 x's a week and was at my thinnest (130-133). Then I got a divorce and actually dropped a couple more lbs. (128 - 132). I felt terrific. I wore clothes I loved and had huge amounts of energy. I met a wonderful man 3 years ago who was healthy too. He has amazing metabolism, eats constantly and doesn't gain a lb. and works out 3-4 x's a week. He isn't at all obsessed - just healthy. He has a fabulous physique (sorry if that sounds boasting). HOWEVER - it's initmidating. Since meeting him I have slowly crept up to my LOW college weight of 140/141 and I feel terrible. He is sweet and never comments in any way but positive. I feel tired, bloated, gross most of the time and I want to be the woman he fell in love with! I am so busy between work and kids that I can barely squeeze in 2-3 workouts a week. But I am committed - just thought I'd post my story!!! Thanks for reading. | ||

P.S. The stats: Last time I stepped on the scale was a month ago and I was around 139.5 I assume with the holidays that I am 141. I plan to weight myself later today when I get home. Goal: 131 by April 1 translates into about 1400-1500 calories per day. |

| this group is amazing! I too have been stuck in the damn 140s forever!!! the last time I weighed under 140 was back in sophomore year of high school. so anyway, I eat about 1600 calories a day, walk either 1.5 or 3 miles a day, and work with a personal trainer twice a week, not to mention 2 other workouts a week. do you think I'm eating too much? I had lost a pound or two the other day, but when I weighed myself last night I was back up to 145! now i'm scared that all my work for the past week was for naught and that it's impossible for me to lose weight. help! is it really possible? i need some encouragement. | ||

This group is fantastic!
I've been stuck in the 140's forever as well. I hit 140 and then I fall off the wagon or do emotional/binge eating and my weight starts creeping up. I would REALLY love to belong in the 130's club as I would feel emotionally AND physically fabulous. I am 5'7 and I used to weigh 119-120, and didn't think I was slim. Well, after a year of studying abroad in the U.S and all the cookies, icecream, pasta and fries, I gained almost 30 pounds and the weight is not going off, although i've been on and off diets for the past year. This time, I'm sticking with CC and the motivation group and really try to make it work. But I always get so encouraged and motivated during the day, and then just can't resist snacks and big dinners then making excuses not to work out. Well, I'm in for the long war and will fret not over small battles lost:) good luck to everyone! I'm hoping to be 130 before March! |

| hi sunnie - I completely understand the high's of morning motivation and intention and having it slip away during the day. I have to constantly ask myself "am I really hungry or do I just want the taste and comfort of food?" Plus it's hard pressure having a husband who easily maintains the body of a 21-year old and can eat all day long. However, he is so loving and supportive. You can do it - think about where you once were and get there. I have struggled my whole life but had a lovely window of 4 years where I felt great and fit into anything. I am looking to get back there. I have this pair of electric blue pants (a small size 6!) I bought for a pretty penny and I am dying to get back into them (only wore them 3x's). I am going to hang them where I can see them everyday. We're headed to Vegas late spring / early summer and I swear I am going to wear them. You can do it - we can do it! | ||

| Does anybody ever feel like it's impossible to lose weight? that even though you are eating right and exercisign a lot, the scale won't budge? That's where I am and and it's so frustrating! I had a really great session with a personal trainer last night and ate well all day, but this morning I weighed a pound more than the night before! | ||

| I can definitely relate, Its2011! My weight hasn't moved for awhile. But I wonder if you're gaining muscle since you said you've been exercising a lot? Muscle does weigh more than fat. Sometimes you may find that the number on the scale will be slightly higher, but you'll FEEL thinner... like your pants won't be tight. Anyway, just an idea. But try not to get discouraged. Things like hormones and water retention can also make you fluctuate throughout the week (and month), and watching the numbers go up and down, however slightly, can be really stressful. I usually try to weigh myself just once a week for that reason... That way, I see a longer-term trend. Anyway, it sounds like you're doing everything right, so the hardest part is just to trying to be patient. Don't worry! You'll get there! | ||

| I can definetly relate with all of these postings. I am currently weight about 140...I started CC in late November, at 153. I seem to be stuck at 140...I would love to get down to 130. I have hard time working out since I am a single mother as well as teacher, so by the end of the day I am totally exhausted by the end of the day...I could definetly use some exercises that I can do at home or any other suggestions that can get me through this slump. | ||
