140/130 club
Anyone in this grouping looking to drop from 140 to 130's. We can all use support. Today I am focusing on all the food groups. Exercise would be good, but I won't be able to since I am working from 9 to 10:30. A Super long day. I hope I can stay focused, when I pass the fast food chaines on my travels today.
gained after thanksgiving, but it came back down and i'm hovering between around 135/136.
first mini-goal is 134! so close yet so far with the holidays . . .
how did everyone else's thanksgiving go? :)

The scale has gone up a couple of pounds over Thanksgiving, but I'm sure that it's from the higher sodium comsumption rather than calories because I did a pretty good job of staying within my calorie limits. I'm hoping that under that water weight I will show a 1/2-1 pound drop from fat loss when it all goes away. One can only hope!

hey guys! i wanted to join!!... im 5'9'' about 137 lbs lookin to be 130 lbs... do any of yall have kind of similar heights? im new around here im not really sure what i should be doing to get the results i want!!
Hey everyone,
I'd love to join. In June I think I was at about 162 pounds. I'm 5'11. Ive always been around that weight but I probably put on 5 of those pounds last year (my first year of university). Between June and September I got down to about 155 pounds. Since late September I've made it down to 142 pounds which I'm very happy with.
But, I'm still unhappy with my lower body. It's funny cause all my old pants are too big for me now, but I really still dislike my butt and thighs, which all through my life have always been my weak point.
I work out usually about 5-6 times a week, but now that I have exams coming up, its only about 2-3 times. Either way I only eat about 1300-1400 calories a day. I'm hoping to make it down to 135, 130 would be incredible but will take time.
Anyway that's my situation as for now. Great club:D

hmm well seems that no one has posted since my last post, but im going to update nonetheless...
I hit 141 today. Very happy with that. Also, about two years ago I used to fit into a size 10 in pants. This weekend, I bought a pair of size 6 jeans. That made me very very happy. It's getting there:)
Still working to ultimate goal of 130ish, but im going to aim for 135-7 by the end of december or early january. I'll be eating loads of veggies for christmas.

yesterday I've started my new lifestyle and I love it! I've never felt
better in my life! And it's making me very educated and it makes me
share my new lifestyle with others and inspire them to lose too!

I am new to this club but will be checking in daily and hope to get encouragement from all of you.
I am sitting at 141 and looking to get down to 130 (or lower) but right now 130 for my age and height is very good. But I seem to be stuck at 140/142 and just struggle to get below that. I do exercise but not as consistently as I should. I would love to buy a treadmill but want to wait for the January sales. I really love to walk but will admit I am a fair weather walker. If it is too hot, cold, or windy I would rather stay inside. If I could lose a couple of pound over the holidays that would be good but my goal is really to not gain any weight.

139lbs. to 132lbs here!! Well...even more if I may!!
I started at 160 back in August, and this month I'm slowly (ever so agonizingly slowly...) dropping down from 145 to 140. It seems like I do great during the week but whenever there's anything to celebrate I lose complete track of my goals and gain a couple of pounds over a weekend... My ultimate goal is to be in the 125-130 range by springtime :)

We can soon be the 130 clulb?
(ha, mental note, haven't seen that on the boards)

I broke that 140 barrier and weighed in this morning at 139. Yes I admit I hope it wasn't just a fluke. Maybe just being part of this board is encouraging me enough to stick with it!! I was really just going to be satisfied if I maintained over the holidays but now I am encouraged about the possibility of maybe even losing a little bit. At this time of year so many of us (me included) think - maintain now - and then January is when I will make that New Year's Resolution and really hit the dieting and exercising hard. But if I could lose a little bit over the holidays, even just a couple more pounds, maybe I will have a different attitude come January. And by that I mean a more realistic attitude. Anyone else have some thoughts on that. I would love to hear them.
Congratulations on getting into the 130s! I've been stuck at ~135-140 for the last month.
I wanted to maintain until the holidays were over. But now I figure that if I at least maintain, then I will be good. This week I started to do 30 to 45 minutes of cardio a day while eating as usual--next week I plan in on readding weight training. A little bit at a time, you know? Hopefully I will be able to combat holiday weight gain and make some good habits in the process. ;)

The 140's don't seem to want to let me go. Ahh! It sucks!
Been hovering between 137-142 for 3 months.

I'm with you, Mayday, on losing over the holidays. I am ever-so-slowly inching my way downward. I hit my all-time low of 141 this morning. I was there a month or so ago, but lost focus and gained back a few pounds, plus had some water weight issues. I have been back on track for a couple of weeks now and am planning to eat as healthfully as I can as much as I can during the upcoming holiday festivities and plan some "goodie" calories into my food log every day. I find that if I allow myself an occaisional treat, I tend not to want to binge out on anything. Helps keep me on track, and if I DO get off, I just get right back on as soon as I realize that I have made a mistake and go ahead and eat the healthy food that my body needs even if it sometimes puts me over my calorie level. That really helps me. Lets encourage one another through the holidays to practice some "safe and sane" eating! We can get through this and do it well!

Went to a holiday dinner last night and truly watched what I ate (although I drank a little too much wine) but still ended up with only around 1000 calories. But this morning I weighed myself and I was back up to 142. I think it is water weight because I know how sensitive my body is to salt and retaining water. I tend to be an everyday weigher. I wish I wasn't so addicted to the scales.
Maydaydr - Nice work on staying at 1000 calories at a holiday party with wine! No easy task. I bet it is the salt ... it's making you retain water and that is the reason for the small and temporary gain.
I was 147 today! But the sweets started arriving at work today ... a 2 lb Godiva box came in at 3pm from a vendor ... UUUUUUGH. I'm relying on gum to get me through.
