Weigh Ins are weekly, every Friday.

To Weigh In you will post a message using the following format:
  • Weigh In For __/__ (mm/dd)
  • Current Weight

Chit-Chat is fine. I hope we can all get to know one another and truly give encouragement to one another. If you have any suggestions or comments about the club, please email me and let me know.

Just be sure your weigh ins are in bold so that I won't miss any! If you are weighing in at home on a day other than Friday, please wait until Friday to post your week's weigh in so that I don't miss any.

There may be changes, new challenges, new games, etc. as time goes by. I will always make announcements on this thread header and in a post here, so that it will be noticed, hopefully. :-)

- You must weigh in at least once a month to remain on the member list. If you are going on vacation or there is some reason you will not be able to weigh in for over one month, please email me and let me know.

The Member List shows your starting/current/goal weights the followed by how far you are from your goal. I've broken the list into categories by weight to lose before you reach your goal. Once you reach your goal, you will be moved to the Maintenance area of the list and you may then weigh in as often or little as you'd like, just please try to keep it on Fridays.

I was not by the computer yesterday so I am weighing in today. I dont think I am ever going to get out of my silly range of 134.5-136.5lbs. UGH!

Hello! I am back in Saigon!!! And so happy to be  - for once - back from Europe WITHOUT any extra weight. I was terrified because I had no opportunity to weigh myself during the five weeks my trip lasted. Of course, traveling and meeting with many people meant going to restaurants, eating on planes (I was traveling on Qatar Airlines and their food is just plain delicious...), and being offered long forgotten treats (I went to Paris to visit my oldest friend and she insisted on stuffing me with "crepes" and luscious "petits dejeuners" with "croissants", "brioches", cheese to die for and fresh yogurt...  

But all this good food was really good indeed as it left me unscathed. It doubles the pleasure, doesn't it? Of course, I walked plenty - a thing I can hardly do here - so it helped keep me fit. While in Italy I went every day at sunset for a brisk one hour walk with my Mom's dog, a golden retriever full of life and joy whose enthusiasm made me appreciate even more the pleasure of walking among bunches of primroses, daffodils and violets, in spite of the early season. 

The weather here is already getting hot, as we approach the start of the rainy season (usually in May, but who knows nowadays?).  Determined not to lose my good habits, I went walking for one hour and half this morning, with a friend who called me yesterday to ask me to join her. She lives in a compound, so it's easier to walk there, not having to jump out of the way for any truck careening at top speed, or being pushed in the ditch by buzzing motorbikes... 

So, my weigh in for 3/14/08 is 175 lbs.

Just figured out why I have not been shifting much weight this last week or so and its all down to muesli!!! I thought my breakfast was around 400 cals but just found out its 984!!! OMG what a mistake to make never mind binned it all now so can get back on track.

So very cool!  Sorry to hear that something like muesli sounds so damn healthy and yummy but loaded with calories.  I've done that a couple times and I've got to tell ya, frustrating!

Congrats to everyone who lost.  I am struggling.  I have been at the exact same weight for the last 3 weeks.  No matter what I eat, nothing seems to budge it!  It is finally nice outside, so went for an hour walk last night and am excited to start walking on a regular basis again.  Hopefully that will get the scale moving in a downward spiral again!  Have a great weekend everyone!!!

    Good for you Hanshock!!--and nblank15--isn't it amazing how much stronger you get as you exercise more?  What seemed so impossible (5 min. on the treadmill) is like nothing now--yea for all of us!!!  And miss mullin--at least you are not gaining--drink some more water to toast that fact!! and let's all try to get out in the sunshine next week--it's finally warm enough to walk without freezing your fingers off, but we're supposed to be getting more snow on Wed.......

    Wow, everyone's doing so well! Jenn - down close to 25lbs - good for you! Hanshock NICE WORK!!!! Cmcmullin and nblank, amazing that you're both getting in lots of exercise (maybe this Daylight Savings Time isn't such a bad thing).  Makinit count I'm glad you busted out of your little range - you're giving me some hope!

    I am officially "back on track" now.  I swear.

    I'm finally starting to see a little more downward movement again, but overall, I'm getting discouraged.  I've lost a total of 9.6 pounds since the beginning of the year.  It's been 13 weeks.  That's .7 pounds a week.   At this rate, it'll be December before I reach my goal. I could cry.

    I set a mini-goal for myself to be 150 by May 2, when I'm going to an annual get-together with a group of girlfriends who are spread all over the country.  When they saw me a year ago, I was 180.  It's so discouraging to realize that I only lost 23 pounds the last year.  I had some rough patches, backsliding, and plateaus.  But I've been doing everything right faithfully since Jan 11.  I really thought that it would translate to at LEAST 1 pound a week, and make my May 2 goal.

    Just venting, ladies.  Carry on.

    no lost this week but thats ok, I lost 3 last week. And it had been a while since the scale made a significant change. I only have about 3-5lbs til my goal and thats it. Cant wait to get there!

    sharz96~ I can understand the frustrating part of the slow loss...I am as well a very slow loser. Since july 07 I have lost 25lbs equaling about .7lbs a week as well. Just keep at it and it will work! I feel like all though discouraging that I can eat some of my fav things in moderation and I can still maintain and even lose a little bit. Keep at it and you will reach your goals!
