Hey, I think it was pretty successful and, to be honest, I liked almost everybody that was involved.

(Kidding!)

Same dilly - For those of us in the current four week count down, post your final weight there, and then copy and paste it here... as it will be the starting weight here!

Morning Weigh ins on May 12th, and then every Thursday and Monday from then on!

(I'm actually pretty glad to do this - I'm going to Hawaii on June 12th, so I'd love a reason to keep driving to my goal weight before I get on that plane.)

Happy Monday!  Back to the grind.  The weekend was too short.

Starting Weight:  203.6

Last Thursday Weight: 196.8

Current Weight: 195.4


Down 1.4 lbs, not bad.  I'm working it right now, though had a nice big cup of SF/FF ice cream last night. 

Good Luck to all.  Don't beat yourselves up.  This is a tough time of year for most people.  Lots of partying, picnics, which give way to lots of bad food choices.  I'm trying to stay focused.  Don't let one bad meal ruin your day.  If it happens, it happens.  Just move on and don't dwell on it.

I'm down to 188.5 - lost a half pound between Thursday and today.  But considering I ate a whole f****** cow on Saturday, and had a gigantic "I'm out with wife" meal on Friday, I'm pretty relieved.

I'll pop on later with more fun stories of dead animals (Sorry Vegans!) and don't forget, we're one week away from the 42 day challenge.  (It's set up!)

Well at least for today I'm in a healthy BMI.  I went out last night an had some fantastic chicken Thai lettuce wraps.  I think I stayed in check it seemed to be the best choice on the menu.  Everyone else had creamy of fried stuff.  When I got on the scale I was very happy I stayed on track.

 Remember, as you get closer to your optimal weight, you have to eat more to lose weight.  You should start only keeping a small (i.e. - 300 calorie a day) deficit when you are really close to the end.  Don't pull back in this instance.  Going forward with more calories, good ones of course, will help you lose the weight.

I don't know what happened... didn't really have a good weekend once again.

Am up nearly 2 lbs... :(

I think that's due to lots of carbs that I had yesterday -- for breakfast, I had egg with wrap. Then for lunch - turkey sandwhich. Then just before bed, I had banana bread... :/ Perhaps my body's still retaining water & all that.

So, I'll have to eat light and will weigh in again tomorrow morning as I plan to lay off carbs for a while (yes, I'm sensitive to carb- my insulin will just spike if I have lots of it!)

Also, my sleeping schedule messed up so I probably didn't have good sleep and did not give my body plenty of rest as I could have.

Well, let's see what happens this week. Hopefully I'll do better.

Okay I need to tell someone about this cause it pisses me off... yesterday I had to go to a work meeting, where the boss was like "everybody grab a glass" (I work at a wine store) and I'm thinking there's no freakin way we're drinking on a Sunday morning at 11:30 (which is technically illegal in the first place, you can't drink before noon), and sure enough we drink -well, taste- like 5 bottles!! All I had for breakfast was a nectarine and coffee, HA! Yeah, I got drunk. That's not what I'm pissed about though; afterwards, I had the drunk munchies, and decided to go to Subway. Now, the only meat I eat is seafood, so at Subway I always get the Veggie Delite or the Tuna, but never the tuna cause of the mayo making it terribly unhealthy. But, I was buzzed, so I got the tuna.  530 calories and 31 grams of fat?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? PLUS I got the cheese, an addition 90 calories and 6 grams of fat. PLUS I got the honey & oats bread, an addition 50 calories and 1 or whatever grams of fat. And I got the baked bbq chips, at 140 cal and 3.5 g of fat.

TOTAL: 810 (670 for the sandwich alone) calories and 41.5 grams of fat!!!!!!!! By freakin 2pm, HAH!

SERIOUSLY!??!?!?!?! Oh good lord. But I still managed to end the day at 1400, how? Because I kick ass, that's how! Booyah :D

Last week weigh in was hot, and now.. I'm up a half a pound.. I was looking for that to happen, and it did.

Well here goes with my report. ;)

Last thursday weight 5/29- 159.5
TODAY:) 6/2- 160.0
I'm okay with it. I know it's just a half a pound. I can deal with it. I can get that off. Water weight gain. I'm not going to sweat it. You have to roll with the punches. I just have to keep up a good fight. Maybe I will bite a pounds ear off, and get them off of me that way. LOL. I can't get down about it. Well, I got a boost of energy going. I got to use it while it's hot. I will see you all later. We are going to break through these yo-yo times.. You all will see, just have faith in what you are doing for yourself. Great and mighty things will come.. You will see.

I'm starting a Slim Fast program.  Need to make sure that I'm getting the right amount of calories in.

CW: 123/124 - I don't have a sophisticated scale some of you, lol.

I drink Slim Fast in the morning with a banana.  I was making my own breakfasts shake but these are higher in protein and lower in calories than the ones I make (although it is a beef protein, and not rice.)


That Salad sounds fabulous, lynn!  I'm big on avoiding all salad dressings/ketchup and bbq sauce though...I wonder how it tastes with balsamic vinegar and a smidgeon of olive oil?

I walked four miles yesterday, gearing myself up to do it 3-5 days a week this summer.  I'm hoping that will get me over this hump. I do have to be careful, though.  I came back and I was starving!  I can't over-eat after that walk or all my efforts will be down the drain.

Plan your snack for after your walk.  It's good to eat after exercising anyways.  The body is looking for some fuel.

Finally some movement! small as it is, I am just happy to know that my body is capable of going lower than 140. GEEZ!

Anyway, I think I need to loosen up and tone down my neuroses. Conscious but not psycho, that is the goal.

P.s. I am curious about slimfast. Anyone seen positive results they like?

Also- my bf wants to buy a wii, and he is trying to convince me to do it by promising to buy a wii fit (so I wouldnt have to drive 20 minutes to the gym). Is the wii fit more than just fun? Does it actually make you sweat? I have been trying to find reviews about it, but everyone seems to be reviewing it as a game. How is it as a workout? Can it substitute (or just supplement) the gym.

 You are not a fat pig, so don't say that Nef, you are not a fat pig. You don't have to weigh in if you don't want to. In time you will get it all back on track. In time... Just take your time, and find your way back. ;)

Ah, it's almost Friday!!!!  Also a little plug for my Celtics!  Go C's, beat LA!!!!  Like it was the 80's all over again.

Just 9 lbs from my original target weight, though that may change. It will depend on what bodyfat I am at when I get to 185.  My goal is to be under 12%.  I'm at 17.5% now.  That's more important to me than the weight.
