Hi Everyone, *So I've revised this group because I want to be able to share information, get ideas, and be held accountable. I think by having more members that I will benefit more from it! Since there are a lot of us Maritimers here I thought I would create a group where we can connect and have weekly weigh-ins. I'm also going to track my inches because losing inches is my main target right now. I'll be posting my starting stats tomorrow morning and we'll have the weekly weigh-in every Monday! Maybe this will help us curve our weekend appetites :) Please add anything else you wish to share ..i.e receipes, daily menu, workouts etc. Jenn (NS) |

Oh ok...motivation ;) What is that again? heheh...I still haven't gotten any exercise equip. So, I've been having these really bad pains in my lower right abdominal since Monday and they've only continued to get worse, so finally I went to the duty doc last night. He thought it was my appendix so first things this morn I was off for a CT scan, blood work, urine test etc etc...anyway, turns out it's not my appendix but my ovaries :( I have a huge cyst on my right ovary....sucks! and hurts so bad.......has anyone else had this happen? I know it's fairly common but so painful at times. I've only eaten a BELT from Tim Horton's today...the pain is suppressing my appetite. Hope everyone is having a FAB FRIDAY :) |

It's been a quiet weekend around here! Shoot! I just realized I lost a bracelet and I really liked that one, too! Oh well, today was an okay day in that I stayed within my calorie range, but I didn't do it as healthily as I should've... B- Raisin Bran Crunch, 1%milk L- chicken sandwich, apple Supper- salad, moccaccino bar snacks- a handful of Wheat Thins, Ketchup flavored Lays, and chocolate(don't even ask what kind or how much!) I'm working on the exercise now, as I did nothing but sit at my work computer all day. The goal is to work off 500 cals on the bike. 150 down, too many to go... looking forward to Monday! :) |

Oh shoot, I hate losing stuff :( Hope you find it soon. I didn't have a great weekend, in a lot of pain still, seeing my GP this week. Despite the pain I did get together with my soon to be sister in law for some food and drinks and let's just say I had a few too many Sour Raspberry martini's :( Oh well. My weight this am = 139...better than I expected considering the week I've had eating. Things will get better I know, I just really have to pick up the pace. Have a good Monday everyone! |

SW- 126 Todays weight- 119.4 I'm with you Jenn- I've gotten pretty lax lately, eating just barely less than my maintenance goals, so I'll lose but at a crawl. Too many chips and chocolate things around to tempt me, and I'm giving in to it! Here's to a good week! |

Yeah, I have to get those things out of the house......I'm weak when it comes to any type of junk food! Interesting day for me...forgot to bring money and had planned on getting soup or a sub from subway..oh well. B: Oatmeal to go bar, banana L: 100 cal bits and bites pack, pear, yogurt S: 100 cal pack of popcorn D: Veggie hot dog on my GF grill with ww bun, mustard and ketchup(I don't have a bbq), big salad with lots of veggies S: probably a skinny cow ice cream sandwich mmmmmmm... I walked to work today, and will be walking home, plus taking Molly for a walk.....Might try a video tonight but not sure ..still having some major discomfort! :( |

Can there be bleeding associated with cysts? I would probably take it easy until you see the doctor...I'm sure your body will tell you how much is too much! sw: 130 last week: 127 this week: 128.5 drat! I knew last week was a fluke. anyway, having an okay week. good some days, not so good on others. I think it's averaging out to only 100-200 below maintenance. went to the gym this morning to do weights. first time i've done weights in months, and for some reason I decided to pick up right where I left off, but my body couldnt keep up. I have definitely gotten weaker =oP Jenn, really do take care of yourself and don't push too hard. Also, I've heard that those hurt like CRAZY! I can't imagine going for days with it. Sorry I've been missing lately. It's finals week and not only do I have finals, but my cruel professors are giving me projects to do at the same time. grrr. |

Seems like we all need to pull up our socks this week! I am in pain opa but it's not unbareable...more or less just annoying. I read one of the symptoms can be weight gain...oh wonderful I thought as I read that :( Oh well, I'll just have to try my best, I really need to be able to fit into my wedding dress!!!! I don't envy you this week...finals SUCK! But just think, it's almost over. Yay for finals, the end is in sight! Very cool about going to see a house, that's always exciting! Did I ever blow it last night girls! I did really well until the kids went to bed and then I waxed (I always treat myself to something chocolate after waxing to sooth the pain!). I ended up giving into the munchies though and ate a bunch of chips and crackers and a brownie (one bite brownie=90 calories!). Grrr!! oh my gosh, I finally found out the nutritional information on those bagels that I eat all the time (from the school dining halls), and they're 400 each! I was estimated them around 300 because they're slightly smaller than most bagels, but now that I think of it, they are denser and heavier. I think if I stop eating them for a while that I'll lose my taste for them and won't crave them anymore, so that's that! Today has been pretty good. I ate most of my calories before 11am! but wasnt really hungry or snacky again until pretty late in the afternoon. bfast - coffee, blueberry scone midmorning snack - special k protein bar, snapple white tea lunch - fruit leather, light yogurt, diet coke afternoon snack - sunchips (210 cal bag) that's 1200 so far plans for dinner around 8? salad w/ chicken, croutons, other veggies, & 2 tablespoons of dressing hopefully I wont get hungry again after this (i stay up pretty late studying) Oy, I've never waxed but it sounds like a treat-worthy ordeal. Don't sweat it too much, Steph. I'm sure you burned calories from the pain or at least from squirming in pain? I'm going out to a very large and unhealthy dinner tomorrow night. Yup, I already know that I'm going to blow it. But I promised some friends that I'd save some of my food and bring it back for them. So that'll keep me in check, hopefully. Jenn, have you gone to the doctor yet? What did he/she say? |

Ohhhh I LOVE bagels. Have you ever had the Weight Watcher's Bagels? I love them and they are only 150 cals per I think?? Or close to it......you should try, I know you will like them. I also love one bite brownies, and one is NEVER enough. B: Apple/Mango sauce, nature valley granola bar L: cup of soup, ~20 multigrain wheat thins, 100 cal pack bits and bites S: 100 cal pack of popcorn D: Eating at the soon to be mother-in-laws tonight, so don't know! Not a great day for eating, hardly any veggies or fruit..need groceries. The house last night was AWESOME..we loved it, now we need to just make a decision. It's a big one, especially when we are right in the middle of our upcoming wedding. I know this sounds gross, but I think my cyst might have broke. I haven't had any pain since early yesterday and I've been bleeding and apparently that can happen when it breaks. I have an app with the doc on Monday so he'll check me out! I haven't had a bagel for at least a year! I love them, but knowing that they're so high in calories, and that was before I started watching my weight! Jenn, hope everything turns out okay with the cyst, glad that you're not having pain anymore. A house is such a big decision when you get thinking about 25 year mortgages and stuff. I had such an absolutely crazy train-wreck of a day yesterday. A quick overview of the carnage: breakfast was the usual, lunch was Jr Bacon Cheeseburger and baked potato with bacon and cheese from Wendys, snack was Hershey mini cookies and a moccaccino bar, supper was Big Mac and half of a small McFlurry. The first time I've had a burger since January, and I had 2 in one day! Today will be a very light eating day for me, no cheats AT ALL and lots of exercise. One good thing about yesterday, hubby and I submitted our passport applications and should have them in a couple of weeks! I'm checking flight prices this morning to Italy!! Woo! B- 1C Raisin Bran, 1/2C 1%milk, flaxseed L- 1C chili, 10 rounds, apple with PB Supper- 3C mixed veg, beef strips, 2 Tbsp sauce Snacks- apple with PB, salad, rice crackers I tell myself that it was only one really bad day, but I don't have a good feeling about this coming Monday... :S Trying not to sweat it! |

Well Steph, if you ever get the urge for a bagel get the WW ones!! 150 cals isn't much at all! :) I'm not sure what we are going to do about the house...we have lots of time and the place we are in now works, it's just a little on the small side. I think that if we wait until after the wedding we'll be happier, but we'll see. Sounds like you had a crazy busy day....or I'm guessing since you ate fast food! I hate those days when you really don't have much of an option. Oh well, it's one day and you are so good at keeping up with the exercise that I'm sure you'll be fine! When are you going to Italy?? That is sooooo exciting. Family friend of ours is getting married in Italy in October and we would love to go but with it being so close to our wedding, I doubt we will...oh well! You'll have to tell me allllll about it! I found great Italy packages (flight/hotel) on Expedia.ca You should check. I'm not having the best day eating wise, no groceries, no time last night...so tonight I HAVE to go to the Superstore. B: Egg & Bacon sandwich from Subway with lots of veggies, cranberry juice (only ate half the sandwich...too filling) L: Probably subway AGAIN...have limited time, have to go to the Post Office to mail out the rest of my wedding invites. D: Chicken Wrap with lots of VEGGIES and salsa, some brown rice Oh and I started walking 30 minutes everyday at lunch time with a co-worker...it helps a bit! I saw 138 on the scale this morning..happy about that. |

We've been on vacation! Yes!!!! I haven't been exercising at ALL & I can totally feel it. I feel so out of shape & am totally loathing myself, but I can't seem to get back into my groove! I have so much stuff to do &, like many mothers, let myself come last. I haven't even showered in 3 days! Ugh! Must put myself as a priority! I'm out of food. I'm going to go shopping today & stock myself with delicious fruit & veggies & not much else. Sasquatch is in My scale is reading 119, but I'm convinced my scale is way off in the wrong direction. I just weighed my toddler & unless she hasn't grown in a few months my scale is reflecting a lower weight! I'm so afraid to buy a new scale! F***! |

Thanks for the Expedia advice Jenn, I've been checking into them and some others, but they're cancellation policy makes me nervous- I used to work for Budget car rental as a reservation agent and I've seen so many people get screwed over by Expedia, Hotwire, and other companies like them. I think they work really well if theres no chance of a change of plans. At this point we don't even have hubbies vacation time blocked off! It'll be one of those things that all the pieces will either all fall together at the same time or not at all. Tentatively look at going early next month.*crossing fingers passports will be processed and vacay time booked* What an afternoon I've had! And I don't mean that in a good way! I got the dreaded munchies and thought a few chips can't hurt much, and then ate half of the bag (BIG bag, btw). And then it's like my hand was possessed, because even though my brain was screaming don't do it, my hand opened a Passion Flakie and I ate it. And now I've resigned myself to biking for the next 6 hours! :D Carley, you look great! I wouldn't be too worried about the number on the scales as long as your clothes are still fitting good and you feel good about yourself! |

Soooo! I went out & invested in a cool new scale & it reads 119! I'm so relieved. I know I look healthy as I am, but a few pounds down really matters when you're prancing around scantily clad at an outdoor festival! 120-125 is a good winter weight for me, but i like the lost inch in the heat. If it ever comes. **** Seattle! Queenmedia I hate the 1/2 bag of chips remorse! I had a period-related chip experience last week... I gained 4lbs of water retention puffiness! Ha! Blueberries, peaches, almonds & flax seeds apple bratwurst w/ saurkraut, pickle glass of wine (uhhh... yeah) apple & snap peas trail mix w/ chocolate, apple cherry tomatos & slice of turkey breast grilled tri tip, sauteed spinach mushrooms & cherry tomatos, ear of corn, beer pineapple 1324! Yes! |

OHhh the guilt from the last 2 days!! I ended up burning 1500 calories on the bike yesterday in penance. I also kind of lost my appetite from just the thought of eating all that junk. That paired with fullness feelings kept me from eating any supper. Do 2 wrongs make a right? Actually, I was starting to feel a bit hungry by the time hubby got home from work at 11pm, so I had a big salad and felt okay about it. Today I NEED to get back to my healthy eating habits! Awww, don't worry, I was in the same position last week but am back on track now and I know you will be too! At the time you feel down and guilty ( I did last week) but you'll come around! I've actually been doing good. I finally got groceries last night, however, I did have one indulgence this morning...A lady I work with had a birthday so we had cake, but I had a very small sliver and I'll tell ya, it was enough :) B: New activia yogurt with berries and cereal (it's super yummy and full of fibre), Cake lol L: Huge salad consisting of red & green peppers, cucumber, zucchini, green onions, mushrooms and chicken..I've discovered that I LOVE mixed my salad with brushetta mix (from superstore) and it's only 30 cals for 2 tbsps and it more than coates it!! Sooooooo good. Banana, apple-mango sauce (unsweetend) very good also! S: 100 cal pack of bits and bites D: Macaroni casserole, little high in calories I'm sure but we have our marriage prep course tonight and tomorrow at the church so we'll need to have food quickly.. :) S: I'll be at the course til 9:30 so we'll see! my usual for exercise or lack of ... 15 min to work, 30 min lunch, 15 min home. I'll get better, I have to! |

Sounds like everyone's doing pretty well! Steph, I know you'll get back on track. Your willpower is so much stronger than mine, haha.
I'm going to challenge myself to stick to a 500 cal deficit for a month. I'll tally it up on here when I weigh in. Heh, I'm nervous! I'll admit that I haven't been "good" for such a long stretch of time in 7 or 8 months, but summer's coming and I just need to do it! I will hopefully be at day 3 by Monday. |
