| 100+ Pounds to Lose---we can do it!! Monday weigh ins. (start 1/7/08) | ||

Hey Everyone, Well, here is it, a new challenge for those looking to lose 100+ pounds. I would like for everyone who is a first time poster to give a little introduction of themselves (include height, weight, age and anything else you would like)! I'm hoping that this challenge can not only look at how we're doing in terms of numbers, but serve as a way to motivate eachother. If you had an extremely challenging week, let us know. If you found an awesome exercise or healthy snack food, let us know. If you have anything, good or bad, that helped (or hurt) your weight loss (and overall health for the week), let us know!! I'm figuring the weekly template can be something like: Starting weight/date: XXXXX lbs XXXXXX (for me, 298 lbs 12/18/07) Weight last weight in: XXXXXX lbs Weight this week: XXXXXX lbs and then list challenges, good, bad, etc. afterwards. I would love to say I would do points and keep a tally, but honestly, I know it will be tough to keep up with everyone's TERRIFIC progress!! Hopefully we can all take a look at this and celebrate everyone's successes together. Our first weigh in will be January 7, 2008. Ok weighed in again for this week: Starting weight (1/20/08):208 Last weigh in (1/26/08): 205.6 Current Weight (2/2/08): 202.8
About 5 pounds down...Feels great. Just another 86 or so to go.

Hey!!! Happy Monday! (ugh - gotta get ready for work...) Starting Weight: 305 Last Monday: 263 This Morning: 258.5 (up .5 lb from yesterday, but I'm still so excited) 4.5 lb loss this week (I'd been plateauing for awhile) 46.5 lb total loss and 13.5 lbs to go to my mini-goal of 245=60 lbs lost! Yay!! Weigh in day!!! Starting weight 232 lbs Last week 212 lbs Today 210.5 lost this week 1.5 lbs Total lost 21.5 lbs yay!!!
I was hoping for bigger numbers this morning, but considering I had chips, dip, wings, and tequila on Friday night and a few super bowl munchies yesterday, I am quite happy. I am so happy for everyone!! Keep up the good work!!! :) |

Starting weight/date: 246 lbs 01/08/08 Weight last weight in: 239.8 lbs 01/28/08 Weight this week: 238.2 lbs 02/04/08 Loss this week: 1.6 lbs Loss total: 7.8 lbs! :-) Okay so I'm a little bummed cuz just yesterday the scale said I was at 237.4, lol, but maybe I was just standing on it different or something... (it seems really sensitive to feet-positioning). Oh well, I still lost, so I'm not complaining! I've been working out a lot during the week, to allow myself to relax a bit more on the weekends. Last night my bf and I cooked up a delicious stir fry - green and red peppers, string beans, chicken, sauteed with ginger, garlic, and some fresh chili peppers, then mixed with soy sauce and served over brown rice. Not 100% healthy, but we wanted something tasty since we were avoiding the wings and fried foods :-) Oh - and BTW - the "Diet Coke Cake" recipe actually tastes pretty good. Make 1-serving size cupcakes - its about 160 cals, not bad for a chocolate cupcake. Served with a little bit of fresh fruit, and mmmm enjoy! So my question of the day for everyone.... What are you doing for Valentines? I told my bf nothing except dark chocolate (lol my version of compromise) and that I wanted to stay in and cook a romantic dinner in rather than eat out. We're putting more of our efforts into decor and music and such rather than food (a first for us, haha). |

Starting weight: 266 (sept 1, 07) Weight last weigh in: 245.2 (1/28/08) Weight this week: 244.8 I was down to 243 during the week, but kind of got relaxed with exercise this weekend =/ So Im back up....and its close TTOM =( Next week should be better! Way to go everyone on all your successes so far! |

Hey guys! I'm glad to have a thread to update in, but I'm still kind of depressed about this: Weight last weight in: 236 lbs Weight this week: 235 lbs I want to be back at 228. :-( I gained all that water - and it HAS to be water, because it happened overnight - but it hasn't gone away. I'm not pleased. I've felt pretty hopeless all week, because I don't know why this happened or what to do about it. |

Starting weight: 212.5 (at Calorie Count Plus) Last weigh in: 212.5 lbs This week weight: 215.5 lbs Congratulations, everybody! I gained, but it's largely due to an early Mardi Gras party that we had last night. This morning's reflux let me know my body's opinion of that little adventure. For Lent, we are going with simple, inexpensive meals and are planning to use the saved money to help pay off some of our enormous debt and the saved time to declutter the house and give away quite a few items. So, we should have a healthy and inexpensive season. Anyway, please pray for us to have a "fruitful" Lent. Thanks, Valerie |

I've tried to make sure I still eat relatively good :-) |

my name is paula and i started on january 23rd,2008. i am currently married and i have no kids. i have been overweight most of my life and i need a change. i joined this site in the middle of last year and just fell off the wagon.. at my heaviest i weighed 258. Starting weight/date: 258/january 23rd,2008 Weight last weight in: 248 lbs Weight this week: 248 lbs i will try to write faithfully and weigh in once a week. i have now cut out all soft drinks and tryin to watch my calorie and carb intake. i am gonna to join a gymn this week and start my 1 hr exercise routine..wish me luck!!!!talk soon~ |

Hi people! I actually just found this website today and already I have found it to be of great help. I lost about 80 pounds 2 years ago dropping from like 300 to around 217-219. I was happy but I became complacent, lost time, all of the excuses and stopped working out. Recently I started again because I have reached a staggering 280, until 3 weeks ago I was running and twisted my ankle severely, and havent been able to since, so I figured cutting back on the calories would help. And I am always up for a challenge. Starting weight(February 04): 280 Last weigh in(February 04): 280 Current Weight(February 04): 280
First week, other than just getting started in general no real challenges.

Happy Birthday El! 1.3 lbs lost on your BIRTHDAY week? Way to GO! :-) Uh oh - TTOM coming! ahhhh lol. Men have no idea how frustrating it is... 1) Food cravings go CRAZY ... 2) Emotions go crazy - which causes even MORE desire to binge ... 3) Cramps/bloating, etc make you not want to exercise! ... 4) Even if you can work through those 3 and stick to weight loss plans, your scale either stays the same or goes up due to water retention... makes ya love being a woman, right, ladies? ;-) |

Hi Everyone! I just joined the site yesterday, and I'm loving it! I'm really hoping this will help with the weight I've been struggling with for so long. I've tried both Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig in the past, but I think I need to do this on my own. Anyways, here goes: Starting Weight/Date: 302 lbs Feb 4/08 Weight Last Weigh In: N/A Weight This Week: 302 lbs My goal is to lose 122lbs total, but for now my short term goal is to lose 75lbs this year. My biggest challenge is definitely portion control... and fast food! I'm cutting fast food completely, so I'm really hoping that makes a difference. I'm also only going to weigh myself once every two weeks or so.. I find if I weigh myself too often I just get discouraged. Any tips, advice, help is welcome and appreciated! HI SONINI, I AM WITH YOU ON ALL ASPECTS... FROM FAST FOOD TO ALL OF THE REST. I HAVE LOST 10 LBS SINCE JAN 23RD. DRINKING WATER AND PORTION CONTROL... THAT IS THE BIG THING.. I AM TRYING HARD BUT NOT STARVING AT IT/ SO I WISH U AND ME AND THE REST OF US TRYING GOOD LUCK.. I HAVE ABOUT 100 LBS TO LOSE MYSELF... MY GOAL NOW IS 10 LBS PER MONTH IF POSSIBLE. Everyone is doing so good!! Congrats to all of you, and keep up the good work. Okay. So I busted my tail this week excercising and eating right....well not really, but it sounded better than saying I only excercised 3 times and ate "alright". :) Starting weight: 329.2 Last weigh in: 316.0 Weight this week: 316.0 I didn't loose any lbs. but I have lost inches since last week. So, either way. I'm okay!! Next week, there will be lbs lost, not just inches!!!! |
