200 + weight loss buddies
Hello, I'm looking for others trying to lose a lot of weight, to keep each other motivated threw our bad days and cheer us on on our great days! to keep each other going threw out the week by staying in touch. I want people who want to reach there goal weight and wont quit tell we reach them! who's with me?!?!
I am 5'3 and weigh 217 pounds, my goal weight is 127lbs by May 30th of 209

Ugh...I had a bad weekend! Definately have to get back on track. I have 6 weeks to reach my goal of a 12-15 pound weight loss. I feel the difference from not having exercised or having eaten well this weekend. I definately feel better when I'm doing both and living healthy and hope to get back on track today.
I am soooo excited, because today was my official weigh in and I lost 3 more pounds this week, bringing my total weight loss to 39 pounds. Yeah!!!!!
Whoever will, I would appreciate it if you would pray for me, though, because I have already had one round of antibiotics for a bad UTI and I can feel that it is not gone and will need another round. I don't feel good at all.

I would like to join also. I am 5'4" 244lbs (was 260 2 months ago). It will be great to have motivation. I am losing about 1lb per week and am having trouble staying motivated. Is it better to have monthly goals? weekly goals? or just your main goal? I also want to start lifting weights but have no equipment and the nearest workout place is over an hour away. Any ideas?
Hi Nivy - Welcome aboard! I think it is good to set reasonable, attainable weekly goals and monthly goals. As far as lifting weights, if you can afford it, you might go to Walmart, or a re-sell it shop and purchase barbells. There's alot you can do with them.
Hi Everyone...well, I've been at this 1 week now and am down 3 lbs (17 lbs from my highest weight on June 14th of 284 lbs). This site has been a godsend for me. It provides the accountability I need to stick with it! Yesterday, I went to a BBQ and did fabulous. Stayed within my calories and even got an A for the day with my food.
I need to lose weight because I need to have my right hip replaced. The doctor says I will need it within the year but will not do the surgery until I lose weight. He is very concerned for me because I am "bone on bone" in my hip. He says that a fall would "blow it out." So, although this is not the only reason I've become motivated to lose weight, it certainly has been the impetus to get me started.
Lorabear, you are my twin (almost)! I am 54 years old, am 5'2", and started cc at 270 lbs. I am an elementary school principal, so we also have similar interests there. How about staying in touch so we can support each other? It would provide yet another support and motivation for both of us.

Hi, this is the first time I've been in the chat rooms. I need motivation too. Been a very stressful year. I started 3 months ago and have lost 33 pounds. Very slow but I'm thrilled. I can feel I'm starting to have trouble... Any advice. My goal right now is truly to just be declared "overweight". Then I'll take it from there. Been "morbidly obese" for many years. So, I have about 34 pounds to go. HELP!

jennilove- Hang in there you'll do better this week I am sure. I know what you mean I feel better if I eat healthy and exercise too It isn't always easy to follow is it.
nivy-I like to have monthly goals but what ever works for you is best. ( that main goal seam so far away) I also find it works to count or list what I have done well at the end of the day to help stay motivated. I live in a rural area and have no workout place near either. Try to use what you have to lift weights cans, books, waterjugs or magazines in plastic bags. You can use them on you ankles to work out with too!

Lora - Well, I think if it is a compulsion to eat when you're bored, that's not so bad if you use that opportunity to eat some really healthy food. Reach for some grapes, an apple, some broccoli or cauliflower, some sunflower seeds, things like that. Maybe your body is needing more of that anyway. Try it and let us know if that helps.
Hey anybody can shorten my name to findminime :) When I'm bored, I've found that taking a bath or watching a favorite movie can help. I tried watching a favorite tv show but then the commercials come on and oh boy, I'm hungry.
Also, since I've started losing weight, I've been focusing on projects that never seem to get done. Sewing, cleaning out a closet, etc. I set goals with these and that helps me. I'm just at that point where I feel so much better and I'm getting compliments. You would think my motivation would be stronger but its less...My clothes are falling off and yet I'm not as motivated. What has anyone else done at this point.

I hear you, im 152 pounds it drives nuts. I went to the docters on friday and they told me i was over weight! By the way how old r u?
How was everyone's weekend? I started and finished the final Harry Potter on Saturday, which I was extremely excited about. I also went down another 1.5 lbs. The weekend was pretty good.

Rebepi- congats on the weightloss and reading the last Harry Potter book. Wow I envy you having all that alone time. The only alone time I get is in the shower!(I guess that is what happens when you have kids)

Well I have good news I did some bloodwork on Friday and I am happy to say everything was great I had gestional diabetes with my daughter so I was a little worried about that esp. with family history. But it was great and my Cholestrol said I was at the lowest risk possible for heart diesase!

humorpam and lorabear: I adored the final book. It definitley lived up to all the hype, which I was a little worried about. I would suggest reading them someday if you haven't. It's a truly wonderful story. =)

I'm also a Harry Potter fan as well as my son. I got the book but its hard to find time with a 2 yr old around so I will when its nap time and at night. So far I'm up to chap 7 and its been good so far, cant wait to get to the end.
I have been really busy this weekend helping hubs with the back yard, we just bought our house 2 mo ago and have alot of work outside to do but its so worth it when its yours! so needless to say I havent been online much but I have been very good with eatting and working out and I weighed in today and lost 2 more pounds!!! so I made my goal of 10 a mo for this mo!!
