I thought this would be a great topic so we can all compare our brown bag lunches and see if we are all on the right track! Remember~ If you have a nice lunch box you are more likely to be happy that you are on a diet because the first thing we see is the lunch bag not the food.. Our minds work on Eye appeal! enjoy your lunch! In my blue bag: I work 7:30am-5:30 pm by the way Breakfast- 3/4 cup of Eating Right Granola with raisens. Knock off of Kashi but cheaper! I just finished my way better than the original knock off pasta salad: flax noodles, cherry tomatos, artichoke hearts, chicken, feta cheese with a dash of pepper, sea salt and oregano. I still have a banana and cut bell peppers for snacks plus an assortment of trail mixes and nuts if I feel ike it. |

Original Post by soglialoro: I make it at before bed so it has all night to freeze. By the time I get it to work in the morning it has thawed a bit and has the consistency of ice cream; it's fantastic! |

OK I'm not at work today but I had to post because I have the most awesome lunch box ever! It's one of those little metal old-fashioned kind and it has a picture of a farm with a John Deere Tractor! I love it. Anyway, for Friday, when I work at Subway for most of the day, my John Deere tractor box is going to contain:
carrot sticks pretzels cashews crackers a granola bar And I also eat tons of salad at Subway and a healthy sandwich after work (...and maybe a cookie XO). I always work out hard before going into work so I earned that cookie darnit! |

I didn't take my lunch bag today because I was able to eat at home, but tomorrow begins my 10 hour day shifts, for the next three months. Breakfast at home 2 slices whole wheat toast, 1/4 cup egg beater, an ounce of avacado, ounce of lean ham, tomato slice, and 1/2 cup skim milk. I packed my outdated Dale Earnhardt Jr. #8 lunch bag with leftover steamed brocolli, turkey , potato and mixed vegtables and an apple for lunch 300 cal.
Morning break an orange and fat free string cheese
Afternoon break I have a tough choice ** end of school year gathering for staff** I can either have a huge chocolate chip cookie or an ounce of soy nuts.

good topic! everyone loves to share what they eat all day (well, i know i do!): (breakfast at home) snack - peanut and banana cookie (137 cals) lunch - quorn fillet and salad with baby sweetcorn, fromage frais yoghurt snack - apricots, orange, plum and strawberries and with brekkie that all adds up to only about 700 cals so plenty left for when i get home tonight. what to have, what to have... edit: forgot to say that my lunch bag is bright green with farm yard animals on it. very childish for a 26 yr old i know but i love it! |

i don't work, but i go to school. somedays i bring my own lunch, and other days i get either a veggie wrap or a 6" veggie sub on whole wheat with tomato and cucumber - no dressing or cheese. (yes, i know i'm plain) today i plan on bringing my own lunch because i need to stay at school to do an art project. i plan on bringing: a can of diet coke, unsalted soynuts, a cucumber sandwich on whole-grain bread and either a piece of fruit, or a fruit salad. |

Soglialoro... here's the breakdown on your tuna sandwich:
6" honey oat bread (great choice, high in fiber, but if you got the wheat you could save 50 cals): 250 calories Tuna: 260 (lotsa mayo in this, but delicious, I know!) lettuce and spinach: negligable, maybe 10 calories even if you got a ton... So the total would be something like 520 for the sandwich, assuming you get no dressing or cheese. As a tip, vinegar is calorie free and adds a lot to a tuna sub. Oregano and salt and pepper taste great too! |

This makes me really wish I had a lunchbox. I've been waning one for a good while, but right now I'm re-using plastic grocery bags. I can't wait to replace those with canvas and get a real lunchbox. But in my lunch baggie, I had breakfast of 1/4 cup cottage cheese and 1.5 cups cantaloupe. Then for lunch I have all the ingredients to make a wrap: whole wheat tortilla, swiss cheese, tomato, cucumber, shredded carrots, onion, yellow bell pepper, spinach, and balsamic dressing. I had an awesome wrap for lunch yesterday at Roly Poly, and now I think I might get addicted. |

I work 8:30am to 5pm and I eat breakfast at home so I had a 4 egg white omelette with fat free cheese and ketchup, and I cut up a banana , microwaved it, and mashed it up with cinnamon and ate that on the side, delicious! I don't have a lunchbag because I just reuse the plastic grocery bags that my dad brings home from the grocery store each week: Lunch: I have a "Taco Salad" with lettuce, salsa, beans, grilled chicken, and fat free sour cream Snacks: Fun Size little pack of M&M's (yum) and a Granny Smith Apple |

i eat breakfast at home, and i couldn't fit it into my lunchbox even if i wanted to! i've got the cutest pink lunchbox from www.laptoplunches.com, which is plastic and comes with plastic inner compartments AND adorable silverware - hello, built-in portion control! they come in loads of colors, even black and red (which was a close second choice). snack 1: 1 oz. almonds lunch: salad of 1 cup spinach, 1/2 green pepper, 1/2 cucumber, olive oil and balsamic vinegar totaling 2 tb, 1 serving wheat thins crackers, and 5 meatless meatballs (weird, i know, but i'm kind of running low in the fridge) snack 2: banana |

I don't have a lunchbox :( But - alas - today: Had a bit of canteloupe at home while getting ready... but I packed the following: Breakfast: 1 cup Kashi GoLean Regular Snack: 20 Almonds Lunch: Both a small fruit, and a small veggie salad!
Snack: Oreo 100 Calorie Thin Crisps and a cup of coffee - couldn't resist - needed chocolate. Dinner, I'll make at home but thinking 1 Corn on the Cob grilled, added to another nice spinach salad (maybe with a bit of LF Feta) and a small portion of either chicken or fish... No snack tonight, unless I get desperate and then I'll have a yogourt or a soy/fruit smoothie! Gym instead!

I work from home, mainly so I can cook/eat whatever I want and don't have to worry about packing it.
Lunch--Milton's whole grain bread without crust, broiled in oven with a slice of pepper jack cheese on top, whole bottle of Naked Peach Mangosteen Bliss (I wouldn't have eaten the bread and cheese, but my tummy was upset). Snack--cup of Lemon Lift tea I'm trying to go liquid/raw for a few days, so the bread threw me off but oh well...it settled my stomach and made me happy :) Any snacks I have today will be a glass of non-fat milk or maybe a Gala apple. Dinner is probably a bowl of soup I made yesterday (organic veg broth, sweet potato, carrot, onion, garlic, and celery...the only fat is a couple tbls. olive oil per/qt.) with an apple for desert, depending on how full I get. |

I had to share my lunch today since I enjoyed it SO much: 2tbsp of peanut butter (*drool*) and lots of crisp iceberg lettuce all wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. Yes... lettuce. I love peanut butter and lettuce. It reminds me of eating it as a kid and I haven't had it in ages. and a mini babybel on the side (the cheesey goodness goes so well with peanut butter!!! I swear!!!) Plus I also had 1.5cups of cantaloupe Not the best nutrional value for lunch but not really bad either. And it felt like such a treat!!! |
