On my fridge... jef
  May 08 2008 16:53

I've read a lot of posts that people take inspiration from, many people say "I like that idea, I think ill put it on my fridge"

So my question is.. What do you have stuck on your fridge?

Personally, I have a load of magnets! But a friend of mine had a link of paperclips. There were 20 paperclips for the 20lbs she wanted to lose, and everytime she lost a lb, she removed a paperclip from the chain. - nice idea!

Nothing weight related.  It's all my son's artwork and some photos of my kids.

I have a picture of my niece, a table for converting liquid measurements, a bulldog magnet that was on my old car that says I ♥ MY MARINE, an email from a friend regarding Court Reporters (going to school for that...) and I used to have the food guide pyramid up there but took that down....

so I have an array of motivational things, not all weight-related though :)

I put my weekly menu on the fridge so I (hopefully) don't cheat.  And I am about to put a picture of Jessica Alba in a bathing suit on it - what a motivator!!

That is a great idea thanks!

Nothing motivational...baby pics, school notices, calendar for the week, coupons, and a slew of business magnets to hold it all. I don't notice any of it so I don't think motivational stuff would be noticed either!

I have a photo of me at 125 6 years ago, I dont want to be that skinny again (of course I was smoking then) but 130ish would be nice!

I recently found a pic of me the year I got married, so that's going up.  I weighed 127.  Not going for that kind of loss, but want to look and feel better.  I should put a couple around of post-babies cause I weighted about 140-150 which is my goal.

I have those letter magnets that people get for their kids...it was supposed to be for reminding me what to buy at the supermarket, but it's turned into a hillarious game of making up words that aren't real but sound rude :p

Also, there are some Edward Monkton poems about food :) Personifying food makes me want to eat it less haha.

Here he is if you want to check him out: www.edwardmonkton.com

Wow those paper clips are a great idea.  I  have sadly, only my menu up.  I find that if I plan my menu a week in advance when I go grocery shopping.  I'm more apt to make something healthy.  Instead of saying meh I don't want to cook anything today lets go out to eat.  My BF and I KNOW what we are getting today and I can plan the rest of my day around it. :)

well on my fridge i just have random meaning-less magnets but I always keep my scale beside my fridge so that everytime i pick up something to eat i remember my weight...Of course there are times when I am so frustrated & hungry that i don't see it but there are the other times when I am just eating because I am bored and that's when the scale beside my fridge stands out to tell me that it is not worth it...It is not worth wasting all the effort i have already put in.

stick this on your fridge:

" If you can read this, you are too close to the fridge."

It surprisingly works, and makes me giggle every time i read it!
