So ya'll when you reach your small goals what kind of rewards are you giving yourself?
And when you reach your gw what are you gonna do?
Here's my plan:
40 pounds: some new clothes (DONE!!)
50 pounds: fabulous new haircut (DONE!)
60 pounds=halfway: new workout clothes (coming soon)
75 pounds: hot stone massage
90 pounds: still not sure - maybe some makeup/manicure/something fun
100 pounds: a trip with my husband
110 pounds: seriously cute new clothe
120 pounds=final goal: skydiving?!?!
hai!
I am 22 CW 212!GW 121!I did it once and it was fabulous....gained it all back in 3 years!I am almost ready to get back in the game...I just need some help from people who are in the same situation!so I am in ladies;)
Melissa I LOVE your list! Especially that pretty soon we're all going to get to see you put a big black line right through No. 3!!! Skydiving though, wheeww, I have a hard enough time not getting hurt in my day to day life without adding extra risk! beate it's good to have you join us, one question though, what are you doing differently mentally/physically to prepare yourself for the transformation this time? Also what is your caloric intake and exercise regimen? Okay so I don't know about small rewards I'll have to come up with something later on that, but when I reach my gw I am going to buy a moped! woohoo! i mean seriously, no one wants to see a fat girl on a scooter...

well,I am a binge eater,so it is more of a mental training than an actual diet,of course I have some plans in that regard.I am planning to move from 1500cal slowly down to 900, gradually 50 by 5o and when I reach my goal weight go back to a more normal cal intake. As for exercise,I would love to go to les mills(body balance, bodyjam and body vive) classes 4 times per week, to socialize and also to get some inspiration..and also one hour of swimming per week.it is all so nice this way I just cannot seem to get the energy and the determination to start over....it was such a big loss that I am still mourning.
You are great and I am happy to see you made it so far!

It isn't safe to go lower than 1200 calories per day if you are female. 1200 should be the absolute minimum! If you go down to 900/day your body will go into starvation mode (believe me, it sucks), your body will protect itself by keeping the weight on. I just want you to be as healthy as possible with your weight loss! <3
you are absolutely right!I couldnt agree more, the thing with me is the good old "all or nothing" I either have to eat everything or almost nothing there is no middle way.it is really sad I know and I hope I am not considered a freak...haha...I just wish that before I start anything I would get a normal relationship with food...thank you for the advice and concern!nice to meet you:)
Hey! Sounds like you guys are doing great so far!
I'm 22, 5"2, cw 240, hoping to get down to 120. I just started trying to lose weight last friday, and I lost 6lbs so far, woo!
I was planning really on just using the tools on here, but after reading some of the forum posts, I'm hoping the whole community thing will help keep me motivated!
I joined the gym on monday, I've only been twice so far to the pool, but next week will do better!
My latest weight loss effort was buying a mini trampoline, and man it is so much harder than I was expecting! It's my second day using it, and I can only do 3 mins max before the thigh pain kicks in! It's also really good for doing sit ups on though, and I've been using it to do leg lifts with a beach ball too! Sounds stupid but its hard work lol.. but I can really feel it in my stomach, so hopefully it's doing some good!
yay, even more people have joined our group, ladies this is SO exciting to me, we ARE going to do this! welcome to the 2 new ladies, jellybeano and jenn :-) hope everyone is having a great weekend and staying on track!
Welcome all the new members! ![]()
stlmelissa: I love the rewards you have set for youself. I kind of have the same system, but my rewards are not as exciting as yours are! I normally reward myself with new clothes cause the old ones don't fit....lol....a great feeling though!
My mini goal is to buy new clothes! My clothes now will work maybe for a bit longer, but once I get down a few more sizes it will be undeniable that i'll need so new stuff and I can't wait for that.
Once I get down below 300, I want to take a trip back to Ireland, so that's already tentatively scheduled for next summer. I hope to way surpass that goal by then, but I figure with money and weight holding me back, a year is enough time.
At goal weight, I should have graduated from grad school and saved enough money to remove excess skin and hopefully move somewhere fabulous!
Helllllooooo and Happy Monday ladies! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm excited because I definitely broke my little plateau and lost 2.4 pounds last week!
Thanks for the great feedback about my mini-goals. I really need something to look forward to or else I'll get defeated. You're right, kekri, buying new clothes is a necessity! I hate feeling like a sloppy dresser when my pants and shirts are all too big. But then I feel like the new clothes are too tight when in reality they just fit.
How did everyone else do last week?
I know what you mean stlmelissa. My pants were so baggy on me that I could barely keep them up. It's a great feeling though!!
I did great last week on my weightloss. I lost 2 pounds and I was so excited that I ate about 2 scoops of ice cream. Of course I had to walk afterwards cause I felt guilty but it tasted very good...lol
Congrats on the 2 lb loss!
Thanks! ![]()
Everyone is doing great. I wish I would have found this site sooner to help me...

GW: 120-130 (I've never been that low in memory so it's whenever I look/feel good)
I don't have plans to 'reward' myself with stuff at certain levels it brings back bad memories from my childhood. My mother always reminded me that I was overweight. I had few to no friends in school due to a medical reason (not weight related) and so I had to entertain myself most days. I really wanted a video game system but my mother told me I had to lose 30 pounds first...when I was in junior high. I played soccer and enjoyed swimming, I just never could lose the weight.
I've had horrible body image ever since then. Even when I was a very muscular 140ish I always felt like the whale in the room. I'm losing mostly for health reasons and so I can hopefully gain some confidence in myself.
Hey Chaotic Kitty, welcome and good luck with the weight loss!
I just got back from a shocker of a weekend in Blackpool (eating wise that is)! There was pizza, there were burgers, there were chips and chocolate cakes. I didn't eat one healthy thing the whole time, and I felt rotten! At the end of both days I felt sick and bloaty =[
I've gained 1 pound back, so I'm back to 243 today.
However, the silver lining to this dreary cloud is that I know how bad that kinda junk food makes me feel since starting a healthier diet, and I really missed my healthy soups and my lovely fruit while I was away!
Anyhow, apart from the food side of the weekend it was great! Off to play tennis later this afternoon and get back on track, hopefully by friday I will have lost that pound again, and a bit extra maybe *fingers crossed* with some gym time!
Hope everyone else is still on track!
x
awesome, sounds like everyone is doing great, i didn't go out and get a scale this weekend, bad me. but i feel like i'm still on track. welcome kitty. congrats to everyone who lost last week and for those of us that didn't there's plenty of time, get your booty on the stairmaster though!
