I was given the ultimate gift for Xmas --- a vacation to LA and Vegas.
I want to lose 10 lbs before we fly out on May 24th.

I'm definitely in. I'm a little new to CC, so this will be a great way to learn my way around the site too:)

I won free airline tickets last month and I was thinking about California (I'm from Ohio), so I have to see the beach and wear a swim suit in public. I've lost 9 lbs so far and my goal weight was 130. This 10 lb goal will put me at 127, but I know this is still on the mid side of my BMI, so I should be able to handle it just fine. I'm around 5'3-5'4. I haven't been in the 120's since my 20's...lol. I celebrate my 33rd b-day today.

I am on a free week-long trial for a local gym and went there today. Jogged for the first time since my 20's. Felt so good to be out again.

Thanks for the great idea and opportunity to join!

Ya, count me in.  I'm a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding the begining of June and would love to lose 10-12 poulds by then.  May 24th sounds like a good deadline to me! As of today I'm 140.  5'7", female, age 25.

Ooh, 10lbs by May sounds fantastic - I'm going to Barcelona in June, so I need to be primed and ready...

5'8, 147lbs currently, but I have a tiny frame; the 'ideal weight' calculators told me I am at least 10lbs above where I need to be.

Hi there!

I will definitely join you... getting married in the summer and need to drop 10Ib. Friday weigh in is good for me although being in the UK I might be slightly inhead or behind you guys?

Height - 5ft 10"

Weight now - 157Ib

Goal weight - 147Ib

Anyone have any motivation suggestions?

Hooray for new friends!  Happy Tuesday Everyone! 

OK so I messed up already - today I was going to give my stats, but I don't know what happened to my head, I completely forgot to get on the scale this morning, which is totally messed up because I weigh in daily.  Very confusing, I must not feel like myself today.  For all I know I could be half way to my 10 lbs - haha just kidding. 

Anyway - you guys pick a weigh in day - I just can't on weekends.  So I would perfer Monday - Friday.  Actually I say lets do Thursdays, why you ask, well let me tell you why I think Thursday is a great day, because you don't usually have weigh in days on Thursdays, so my answer is because it's different. 

Abbs - you are totally the bread, because you are always there to hold us (Peanut butter & jelly) together.  Plus you do it so well!  Thanks for that!

Honestly, I have nothing going on around that time but i do have 10 more pounds before i hit my goal so I'm in...it will be nice to not be embarrassed in a bathing suit again. It's been 4.5 years since the last time i felt sexy laying out. :) motivation and accountability is the name of the game!! good luck everyone

I only want to lose 6 pounds, but can I join anyways? I'm going on a camping trip to Hocking Hills here in Ohio on 5/23 and our cabin has a hot tub that I'd love to wear my new 2-piece in :)

I'm 23, 5'7", 139 lbs.

I'm in :)  Yay! I'm traveling to Europe with my bf some time over the summer and it would be great to look skinny and wear skirts :) 

Why don't we all post what we do to loose weigh?  This way we could get some feedback/avoid mistakes.

I exercise 6 days a week. I walk a half hour a day and lift weights 4 days a week. As far as diet, I'm doing the flat belly diet. Not sure if any of you have heard of it. You eat a healthy fat with each meal like (olive oil, nuts/seeds, avocado, olives, peanut butter). You also eat 4 times a day and each meal is 400 calories. It has been working great for me! Since Feb 18th I've lost 11.4 pounds and 3 3/4 inches off my waist.

to answer a few questions...

fav low-cal dinner(s)
english muffin pizzas with veggies
baked potato and clam chowder
big giant salad with a salmon cup
any steamfresh veggie as a side
i love fish too

what I do to lose weight:
workout 6 times a week, 30 minutes each time. I can't really say 6 days b/c I do 2 workouts on the days over the weekends...

calories vary from 1300-1700 depending on what day it is and what I'm doing :)

I try to allow myself treats when I'm craving them so I don't end up overindulging at some other time.

I have one (2 if there is a holiday) cheat meal that consists of me, my b/f, Andy, pizza at our favorite bar and a few beers. Sometimes I only have one piece of pizza, but I get to relax and enjoy my food and company and not feel bad.. at all :)

Hi friends!

I surely need goals and the occasional kick in the butt. I just turned 30, 5'3", at an okay BMI, but I know I feel better when I'm around 115 lbs. I snack too much and let my sweet tooth get the best of me sometimes! I likely won't be posting my diet on CC, but I will be posting my successes and failures...

Like today: no snack between breakfast & lunch! Woo-hoo!!!

May 24 sounds like a great goal date for me too. I graduate with my MBA on June 6 and there will be a lot of pictures that weekend...

My short term goal is to be <120 lbs by May 3rd, when I'll be competing in a triathlon. I'll weigh in on Friday, so we'll see how attainable that is (I'm somewhere in the 123-126 range now).

I am in... I have a long way to go before I get marreid on 4th October. This will be a little step closer towards my goal....  I weigh in on Sundays but it doesnt really matter, Friday it is..... I am currently at 175lbs...so goal weight 165....

yes, sounds like a great way to motivate myself. cw-135.5 gw 125 i am only 5,3 so a bit of jiggle going on. so weigh in every friday? sounds good:)

I'm pretty new to CC too; never been really active on it but after two days of inactivity and REALLY bad eating habits because of a wretched sweet tooth, I think I could do with some help! This sounds great. I graduate around May 24th and will be going on a tour of Asia after that along with potentially a high school reunion (haven't seen them in 7 years!), so I would love to be able to go shopping and actually fit in their petite sizes. Even fitting into regular north american clothing would be good too... Gained about 20lbs in the last 2 years, and none of my old clothes fit anymore. Also went jeans shopping last weekend at holts, and I could NOT fit my entire thigh into the pretty rock & republics. Very depressing.

So, I'm super happy that Olivia started this thread - lets keep it up everybody. Friday updates will help me greatly. Here are my starting statistics:

Height: 5'1

Age: 21

Weight: ~120lb

May 24th target weight: 105-110lb

Ultimate target weight: 95-100lb

Even without personal trainers & nutritionists, we can do it :) Don't know how much I can possibly change by Friday, but see you then!
