This group is my effort to get support from everyone and get everyone that needs suppoort to help each other. So everyone thats in this boat thats around the 200s and is aiming to get down to the mid 100s (135-155) or less. Monday morning will be the group's official weigh in so that we can talk about progress and give support if people are having problems and not losing as much as they would like.

Can I join too?  I have been lurking for a while, and when I saw this post, I thougth it was perfect for me.  I am 31, and started my diet right after Thanksgiving (I know bad timing).  I started at 217 and I am now at 205.6.  I would like to get down to 150.  130 would be great, but I want to keep my goal within reach.  My stepdaughter lives in Hawaii, and hubby and I want to visit her in September or October.  My goal is to wear a bikini by then.

count me in. 213...was 227 started Jan 5th

Kae03..I am doing turbo jam too. How is it working for you? Moves are a bit complicated all together .

#25 deko4 Feb 11 2008 18:46
How much water are you all trying to drink??
#26 jeanus Feb 11 2008 19:04
I drink about four liters per day, thats just over a gallon.
#27 jeanus Feb 11 2008 19:06

What exactly is this turbo jam you guys are talking about? Is it like a workout video or something? and i was also wondering what kind of scales you guys are using, I find that the digital ones fluxuate so much even within a five minute time period and can be discouraging. I have a normal dial scale right now but I would like to count tenths of a pound to watch the progress even if its slight to keep me going.

Yes, it is a DVD work out program.  It comes with about 6 workouts to vary it...she set up a "program" of which to do on what day.  You start off with "learn and burn" where you learn the moves and have a "slow" 20 min work out.  You start with that 4x a week.  She encourages you to do it longer if you need to .   I will at least 2 weeks I am thinking.  It is fun and the music is great.  my 15 y/o daughter loves to do it with me.

hey

I would love to join this too if I can. Ive been on here for a couple of weeks and have so far lost about 5 pounds, Im 228 and looking to be 150 or so. Im working out three days a week and doing cardio another two or so. This week Im eating about 1500 and am losing whereas last week I was on around about 1300 and lost nothing! Still cant really believe that you can eat more and los more! before Ive always gone on crash diets, lost and gained it all back.. this time its different!

Hi

Can I join please,  I am 23 years old, when I started on this site last month I weighed 217, I have lost almost 13 pounds so far now weighing in at 204.4. my goal weight is somewhere around 145.

Hey! I'd love to join, this group is perfect for me!

As of this morning I am 5'7 and 210 lbs. I started really changing my eating and workout habits on Jan 7 and I've lost 14.5 pounds so far. My goal weight is 140 lbs, which I hope to reach by May 2009

Seriously cannot wait for my first summer having something that resembles a beach body!!

Hi!! I'm 27, female, and when I started my diet 4 weeks ago I was 210 and now 198.  My goal is 150.  I have not been working out (although I know I should).  I have been eating around 1250-1400 calories per day and trying to stay around 30g of fat and this has been working!!  Also its great because I don't feel that I am eliminating some of my favourite foods, it just all about moderation :)  Just don't deprive yourself and you may find it easier to stick to it!  Have the right snacks around for when the "bad" munchies hit, I totally pigged out after having a really bad day but thankfully had baked cheetos and a 100 cal aero bar in the cupboard.  I almost felt like I should feel guilty but the damage was only a few hundred calories, had I not had those snacks around I would have definetly gone beyond that.  Grocery shopping has now become almost a 2 hour ordeal lol, I check the calories in everything and try to get creative with what I can eat.  I would love to join ya :)

Hi gals! I weighed in this morning and I am down 4 more lbs! That puts me at 194! I am so motivated to keep that scale moving down. It's great to see all of us here in the same boat! I didn't get any cardio in this morning, but I have my weight resistance class tonight, so I should be ok. Eeek, its almost 10am, and I need to get some breakfast in still! Often time slips away from me, I really need to get better about making time to eat something.

How's everyone else doing?

Tracy

I just have a regular digital scale, so it only gives me the .5, not the .2, or .7, etc. Would like to eventually get one though! I drink about 2 liters of water a day, and a 12 cup coffee pot full of tea, or herbal tea with splenda. Most evenings, I will drink one cup of 1% milk. I know it sounds like alot, but I keep active, and I get hot or sweat easy.

how are we all doing...basically just wanted to bump this topic up for us all.

Had a hard time with workout this morning couldn't wake up enough to get my arms and legs to work together.  A tried at least.  A bad attempt is better than no attempt at all right?

#36 deko4 Feb 13 2008 15:46

Hi! Thats right, Kae! Good for you for trying!

I had my weight resistance training class last night and it really kicked my butt! I really think I should have grabbed a high protein snack before I went though.

What are some good high protein snacks?? Anyone help me out?

#37 kae03 Feb 13 2008 15:52
peanut butter is all I can come up with without getting protein bars.  They may be a good thing to keep in your gym bag.

Uh oh, whats wrong Jeanus?

Let us know, so we can help.

I just got back from lunch. I am proud of myself, my friend called and suggested a sports bar and grill. I thought, Oh no.....

I was good, checked out their menu online before we went. Made my decision. Had a grilled chicken salad with tomatoes, onions, peppers and cheese. With fat free ranch on the side. I also didn't even eat the garlic toast that came with it. YAY! Eatting out is so hard for me, I find it so helpful to check out the menus online before leaving. My snack this afternoon will be a sugar free jello or yogurt. I have my weight resistance class again tonight and I walked 30 mins on the treadmill this morning. I'm excited to weigh again tomorrow morning.

Where's everyone else???
