New 10-15 pound Weight Loss Group

Quote  |  Reply
Just looking for a group of people that want to lose 10 to 15 pounds by March 26th.

I had the best group last year.  We emailed each other with our food plan for the next day, talked about events that might cause a problem and how we could make it easier to get threw, and things going on in our lives.  We have become very close and all had good success.

We made it to our goals and now I want to go down 10 more pounds and then learn how to maintain that weight. Now I need a new group to keep me accountable and make weight loss more enjoyable.

I'm 5'6" and 146 pounds.  I am going on vacation on March 26th and would like to be at goal.

Chattynoel....I'd love to join your group.  I'm also 5'6" and 145 pounds.  My birthday happens to be March 26th so losing 15 pounds would be the best present of all!!!!

Count me in! I definitely have more then 10-15 lbs to lose but it is a healthy loss rate and a good goal. I will be going to Florida to see my sister in April and would definitely like to be under 200. I am 216 now and have lost 32 so far. I have not seen my sis since July (she is very fit), she does not know that I've been losing weight, and I really want to surprise her.

This week I will walk and , least five days. I will also not eat anything after 7:30 pm and track my calories everyday. I stopped counting calories everyday after Thanksgiving, I've still been losing but I feel like  I have not been eating as healthy or losing as much as I should (2 lbs a week).

I'll join! Right now I'm somewhere between 140-142 (I'll wait a couple days to actually step on the scale) -5'9.  I'm going to Philly and Maryland on march 14th for spring break and would like to get at a consistent weight of 133.

My goals this week are: workout 3-4 times, no more diet sodas this week and stay away from the peanut butter because I don't seem to know moderation with it.

I'm in too!  I'm going to the beach in March also.  The web site says I can only expect to lose a pound a week.  I'm 5'4" and 145 pounds, 54 years old.  Have slowly gained 30 pounds over the last 30 years.

Count me in too...I am 29 years old and 5'3".  I have been working out really well and eating better....my weakest is on the weekends when my fiance is home...(all he eats is whatever he wantsTongue out.)  So all the support I can get is fantastic.  I started at 161 last January and I am down to 151.  I would love to get back down to 130 to 135 by September for my HONEYMOON TO ITALY!  This group will really help me get some more weight off for my wedding which is on June 14 of this year.  I really tend to have motivation issues somedays.  LADIES WE CAN DO THIS!  If I can lose 10 to 15 lbs by March end I will be laughing for my wedding day.  (Just hope the dress fits) LOL!  Lets GOOOOOOO! Wink

bee_roach,
Let's see if we can motivate each other not to weigh ourselves this week and workout 5-6times this week. On Monday, we'll post our final results: Weight and Exercise days.
Good luck.
I'm hoping to lose 1 lb so I can hit the 140s....so excited.

I would like to join this group

CW: 140 lbs

GW: 125-129

When and how often do we weigh in?

I don't just want to join this group, I really need to!  I joined Weight Watchers two years ago in the hopes of losing 40 pounds, and I am still not there (and not for lack of trying).

I'm down 30lbs, but it seems I really need help on the last 15.  I'm off to Aruba in May and just want to wear a bathing suit - and not a bikini - my goals aren't that lofty!   I'm 5'5" and as of today's weigh-in, I am 148.

I really want to reach 130 - in my adult life (I'm 41), I've never been 130!  My (naturally) stick-thin sister assures me that I was 130 once, on the way up....how supportive!

Anyway, I am back to calorie-counting and using the treadmill at least 4 times a week...and hopefully I can, with your help and encouragement, avoid the junk!

My biggest challenge is myself! LOL. I love eating healthy foods (fruits and veges) but don't like to take the time to cut them up. I only eat foods that are fast and easy. That's typically all I buy too. I'm just starting my diet though and I'm going shopping today, so I'm going to make myself buy better foods and take the time to eat them. I guess I should be motivated by the fact that I have a one year old that should be eating healthy too. I also don't excersize at all. Noelle - I would love to come over and excersize with you sometime; maybe we can do it a couple times a week after all the kids are in bed? Anyway, I have a lot of weight to lose, but I'm going to make small goals, like 10 lbs at a time, and see where that takes me.

chattynoel - I would love to join your group too! I was a part of a lose 10-15lb challenge but the leader was not at all involved and i really felt like I was going at things alone. I am 137 and am looking to lose about 10 lbs.

I think my biggest challenge is to log calories but not obsess over it (I have in the past, not to the point of an ED, but too much for my taste) and to not eat when I am not hungry. I overeat a lot, especially at dinner.

blarg, day two and I've already screwed up.  I missed the gym because I had to get a lab report done before school (still could have made it for 20 minutes if it hadn't been snowing, the traffic was terrible)  And I've over eaten (it's not even dinnertime yet, and I've gone 150 over...)  I feel pretty weak but I guess I'll just try and work extra hard at the gym tomorrow and go Sunday (the day I normally take off).  Don't know what I'll do about dinner though, maybe I wont get hungry after such a huge lunch.
Well lovlies,

this will be the first forum I have ever joined.  I too would love to drop ten lbs by March 26th.  I am 5'10' and weighed 146 lbs this morning.  Until two years ago I weighed 135 lbs for 20 years.  This is a middle age thing I know and if I don't get it under control now I will keep adding weight as i get older.  I am 46 years old.

As for stumbling blocks, mine would be alcohol. I like to have a couple of drinks at the end of the day and that is a sure diet killer.  I also live in a climate that is cold for 6 months and it can be challenging to exercise outside during winter. Pray for snow so I can skii!!

Andrea....we're around the same age. I too like that after dinner glass of wine. Maybe we can make a pack not to drink but one, no more then 4 oz.'s in a night. See how that works.

Hi, I definetly want to join the group. I am at 160 and want to be @ 145, It had been so hard to lose weight.

Hey all! I'm 24, 5'10", and currently 153 lbs. I'd love to see what 140 lbs feels like and then probably hover around 140-145 lbs. I just joined CC+ and I really like how motivating everyone is! I'd say my biggest challenge is, like many of you, the after 9pm eating. I try to get to the gym about 3 times a week but I'm in grad school and sometimes I'm just too drained.

Overall I don't want a drastic change. I must say I love my body I just wouldn't mind if it was more toned, aka lose some fat and get some lean muscle!

I'd like to join your group.  I've gained 10lbs since getting married last spring, and am looking to shed the extra.

My only problem is, any impact exercise I attempt leaves my legs swollen and 3-5lbs bloated!  My exercise mainstays are yoga and pilates.  Does anyone have any suggestions for challenging yoga/pilates videos?  I've exhausted the Denise Austin collection and feel like I need something different.

Good Luck to all!

I am 5'6 140lbs currently.
