  Dec 15 2007 21:46

Ive battled with my weight my whole life(if you want to know more you can check out my profile)and Im looking for people like me out there, close to my age who can relate to what I am going through. Im doing the 12 week exercise program and so far Im doing really good (just finished day 8)! I would love to get a group together to share progress and challenges and failures etc. Anyone?

Im 21. Ive lost 75 pounds total. Didnt always look like this. Changed my life when i finally realized i wanted to live longer. God blessed me however with inspiration and before i had a chance to lose but 10 pounds i met a beautiful girl who is now my wife. Im not saying beautiful b/c she is my wife, im saying it because nobody understands how in the hell i caught a girl like her when i was 75 pounds overweight. She must have really like that game of mini golf :) but anyhow I wanted to make her happy so i used that as motivation to help lose the weight. Ive been maintaining for a year now, however i will occasionally drop 20 pounds or so just so I stay motivated.... it doesnt bother me to hold a little weight, since ive lost SOOO much.

I'm in my 20's too.  Just turned 27.  And I"ve lost about 20 lbs since early september by using calorie counter, and following a proper diet and exercise.  I'm down from 172, to 152, according to the scale this morning.  I'm very pleased.  I'm going to keep going I think till I get down to 145.  I know I should be about 10 lbs. lighter to meet my optimal BMI, but, I don't think I'll like my figure @ 135.

hiya

im 22 and joined CC a while ago, back in july/august when i moved back from home

i too basically stopped eating and lost lots of weight and felt so good about myself, and all the weight i lost, well not all but a lot came back, within such a short period of time. I havent been exercising relegiously, I have spouts of activity but I have been watching my calories.  I dont really go by weight, I go by inches and my main concern is my hips. Since joining CC ive lost 1 inch.

So I think Im going to join the 12 week challenge and get this inch loss and healthy lifestyle started again. Good luck - we can do this!!!

Mahogany that's so impressive - 20lbs!  I know what you mean about not wanting to get too small either :)

*Suppose I should introduce myself too  - I'm 26, a few pounds heavier than I'd like to be, but mostly worried that my body is way more FLAB than muscle.  I only want to lose about 6 more pounds, but I really need to motivate myself to exercise rather than focusing solely on my diet.

Hi, I'm 27 and I've lost about 15-16 lbs since the end of September, and I already went through a 3 week plateau where the scale said the EXACT SAME thing every day, not even any fluctuations. But I've finally started dropping again, so I'm happy. I'll have to check out this 12-week plan, right now I'm just kinda doing whatever exercise I feel like, treadmill 1-2 times a week (not consistent right now), volleyball 1-2 times a week. Walking at work, yesterday I shoveled snow. I really need to work in some weight lifting, I gotta tone up. I still want to lose about 50 more lbs, so I'm in this for the long haul! Nice ot meet all of you!

I'll be 25 in less than a month.

I've lost 20 pounds since early September (170 to 150). My goal weight is 135 pounds. Hope to get there by the end of March. We'll see...

I've been off the exercise bandwagon for the past few weeks due to vacation, getting sick and poor weather. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things this week.

I am 27 and I joined CC back in Sept. of this year.  I love it.  Unfortunately, I can't seem to lose the last 10 stubborn pounds.  I love to exercise and work out everyday.  I feel that as obsessed as I am about nutrition and working out I should have reached my goal so long ago.  Wish I knew what I was doing wrong.....but then again don't we all.

I am knew to the forum thing and would love to meet new people like me!

Hi all! I'm 22, just graduated from college this month and getting ready to begin a whole new phase of my life. I would love to also have a whole new me! I've also had problems with weight since about the 4th grade when the parents got divorced and I started the destructive emotional eating.

I quit smoking in January of this year, and as of now, I'm at my highest weight ever, weighing in at 286.4 today. I just joined CC yesterday. I'm serious about doing this for the last time. I'm limiting calories to around 1500-1700 per day and upping my water intake. I'm also trying to work out at least 4 times per week, including both cardio and strength training. So I would love all the support and ideas I can possibly get!

OMG! Its so good to hear from all of you.

Hotpink-Its good to hear that you are doing it in the right way. Its more about being healthy than about being skinny right? As for motivation I know Ive said this already but Im really enjoying the 12 week exercise program on this site. There are tips on how to stay motivated each day. Check it out, you can do it from home.

Jason-You look fantastic. I dont know anyone our age with that body, youre wife must be thrilled

Joelle-I love your name! Thats halarious. I have 60 lbs to go, so Im right here beside you.

Nikki-are you talking to me? lol I would like to be 125. only because back in the day I was 120 but not as toned as I would like. So maybe even more than that Im not sure. I guess I'll know when I get there.

I am so glad I started this forum. Should we have a weekly weigh in? I like fridays...

#31 denne11 Dec 19 2007 00:00

Hii Everyone!!

Got room for one more?!

My name is Carole and I'm 25 years old. I've always been quite the little chubbster growing up and I'm definitely ready to shed all these extra pounds! I wanna start off 2008 right!!

I'm currently at 177lbs with a goal of 120lbs so I've still got a loooong way to go!

Really looking forward to getting to know of you and making some new friends along the way :)

Kirsten - I think a weekly weigh in is a great idea! If others feel comfortable we could tell eachother what our weight is now and what our goal is.

I currently weigh 234 and would like to get down to 150. I am sure with all the support from this website and this particular forum I could really reach my goal.

I too am glad that Kirsten started this forum.......it's really exciting meeting new people who are in the same boat.....you don't feel as lonely :(.....

So let's keep it up!!

A couple of days late but ppl are still posting...room for one more?

I'm 26, just started CC 3 weeks ago...so far I've lost 6.4 lbs (started at 149, currently at 142.6) and my goal weight is somewhere between 120 and 125 (don't want to look too small so I'm still debating the goal weight).  A combo of calorie cutting and working my butt of in the gym!  It'd be great to use each other as motivation - many of you have already accomplished so much!! You all are such an inspiration!

This is the most I've ever weighed period so I'm on a mission to get healthier.  I got to the point where I didn't like the way I looked and felt very uncomfortable and I've said enough is enough before it gets totally out of hand!  I look forward to meeting all of you and hopefully making some friends too :)

Hi everyone. I'm 28 soon to be 29 Frown.

A few of us at my work did a biggest loser event for 16 weeks.  I lost a total of 27 so far.  I would like to loose another 10 or so.  My start weight was 157 and i am now 131, my goal is 120.  What helped me out was limiting my calories to 1256-1575, i ate breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and then dinner.  I didn't eat after 7pm and i worked out at curves at least three times a week.  Oh and I gave up fried food. I wanted to get more invovled in the forums since i don't want to loose my motivation and my will to loose that last 10 LBS.

#37 vegetariangeek Dec 19 2007 19:11
jgasperetti  that is SO amazing - 27lbs - wow!  The last 10lbs are of course the hardest - are you still working out and not eating after 7? Please don't give up! You've already done the bulk of it - if you stick with the same program and make one more change - another hour of exercise a week or something, you could totally GET IT DONE!! Exciting to think about!

vegetariangeek

Thanks! I'm still working out. I started to increase the work out this week. hopefully it helps, esp since we are going away in Feb. I still don't eat after 7, which sometimes it can be tough, but i try to drink alot of water or crystal light to help get me through it. I can't wait to loose that last 10.
