Nachos while watching the parade and I limited myself and then pizza for dinner.
COTTON CANDY WAS SOOOO YUMMY!!!!!! And buttered popcorn at the movies.... I felt guilty after the movie and ate a banana. Oh yeah... I blew it! But the cotton candy made it all worth my while! I'm right back on track today though! |

Hah, I completely blew it. Two hot dogs and a salad for dinner- bad, but not too bad, and then two brownies, way more than I want to count of those little marshmellows covered in gram cracker and chocolate chips, and to polish it off, chocolate chip pancakes in the morning. I don't really feel bad about the food. I just kind of feel sick.
I'll get back on track very soon. |

I tried to blow it but ended up coming up with a large deficit. I had a good healthy breakfast and lunch. I always go out on Fridays to eat with a club I belong to. This Friday it was pizza and I ate a lot of it. But I still ended up with 1600-1700 calories and I rode my bike a lot so I really didn't "cheat". For me, back on the wagon would be to go back to 500 calorie deficits and eating around 1700 calories on work out days. I'm running really low these days. |

Oddly enough, I didn't mess up on the 4th...I was out all day walking and at the parade and fireworks, and every time my hubby stopped for a hot dog, I had a piece of fruit. However, on the 5th we spent the day relaxing and celebrating our anniversary, which means we ate out twice ("mini" turkey burger, fries, and a salad with ranch for lunch, fried tofu and veggies with tom yum soup for dinner), plus I didn't exercise, just watched two movies, and of course after dinner, we stopped at Cakelove and I had a mini cupcake and what's cake without ice cream, so we stopped at Ben and Jerry's, too. Oops. Thanks goodness the hubby went back home so I can get back on the wagon!!! Today I'm hoping to do an extra-long workout (but still only maybe an hour and a half). And who knows how I will fare on food? I've already had a third of my allotment for the day and it's only about 7am. I'm ravenous, though, because with all that crud yesterday, I probably stretched my stomach to the size of a watermelon! Maybe if I will it with veggies it will stop rumbling. |

Well mine turned out to be two bad days instead of one. Opps. Yesterday I was too hung over to care and ate a )bunch of more bad stuff and still didn't exercise. So today I'm trying really hard to be good. Very frustrated though... and mad at myself. Oh well, I guess I shall put it behind me and make the most of today. : ) |

Oh yeah, totally blew it. Friday AND Saturday. I didn't even bother counting, and it was so nice. There was much yummy food and beer. Good lord, I ate fried chicken. BBQ pork and chips and mini chocolate pie things and grilled turkey burgers with melted Swiss cheese and fruit cobbler made with straight-up unsalted BUTTER. And good beer. Flying Dog beer. |

oh man, let's see...almost a bottle of wine, 3 long islands, a lil' bit of pasta salad, a lil' bit of some spinach dip and bread, brat (with bread), some pudding fattening coconut, homemade thing (that was very good), a brownie (which i realized the "chef" made it w/ cream cheese (non-fat) <----i mean really? who puts cream cheese in a brownie - no wonder you complain about not being able to lose weight), about 12 cookies (lol), and a turkey sausage w/ cheese on the inside (this was throughout the day, not in one sitting) oh and i forgot the buttered (yes real butter) popcorn. so much for my 1,500 daily intake. HAHA....but i also went to the gym that day, deficited myself the next, boxed (pad work and sparring) for an hour, rode my bike for two hours and 45 mins, and went to the gym for an hour and a half (normal workout +10 min extra cardio)....sooooo i think i'm all good :D PHEW! |

During the day, even during dinner, I had nothing but raw fruits and veggies all day including at dinner. Then my mom forced me to take a little desert, so I had a cookie. That triggered a serious binge and I ended up eating a little brownie thing, half a cupcake, two of these pastry things with fresh cherries on top. Then I ate salads, half a brownie, half a chocolate cupcake, a piece of cake, these salsa cream cheese appetizer things, some chips with salsa, candy from a piniata, a klondike bar, two hersheys kisses, and i think little tiny thigns here and there. I disgust myself sometimes. I ate so much that I couldn't breath without being in serious pain. Like I literally started crying it hurt so bad. |

Its weird. I blew mine on Friday. It showed on Saturday when I had gained 3 lbs. But, it must have been water weight because this morning I was 2 lbs under where I was before the 4th. Go me. LOL

Original Post by probones: "Probones"(just the name is alarming, really), the reason you binged is because ALL you ate were raw fruits and veggies. Your body needed more and it went nuts. We need to remember that life will be a one "special event" after another and reasons to celebrate with food are everywhere, and we need to learn, not to restrict ourselves SO severely to the point where we can't even enjoy a hotdog on July 4th, but that we need to make some allowances to keep our bodies and minds in sync and make room for special things. For some of us that means totally eating what we want and enjoying every bit of it and getting back on our plans the next day, and for others it simply means enjoying the food we love in moderation and not going over our calorie limit. A long-term healthy lifestyle will not be acheived by severe food restrictions and "will power" over "BAD FOODS". /rant
I had 2 awesome hamburgers, grilled corn, a bunch of beer, and chips and salsa and it was yummmmmy! |

I had three days in the last eight days where I ate about 2500-2700 calories. It was a fiftieth birthday party, a wedding, and the fourth of july. I am not a good model for self control. I ate pizza, cake, ice cream. Snacks! Being on vacation was hard. Time to get down to business huh? |

I was fine on the 4th but boy did I screw up Saturday & Sunday! I was over both days by about 900 calories. To top things off I sat on my rear most of the weekend. I'm okay with going over. I enjoyed every bite and today I'll just get back on track with eating and exercise. |

Guilty! So i am human, but I am back at it. I often go off on weekends, but I get back on it every Monday and stay on it throughout the week. It will take longer to come off, but hopefully will stay off. I shouldn't need extra pall bearers yet. |

I didn't blow my diet but i definitely treated it as a treat day, luckily my friends are very healthy eaters so the bbq was all grilled veggies, and vegetarian dogs and burgers. However, i did drink my self stupid so i'm sure those added up. Even though i indulged quite a bit, i'm one pound down from this weekend! |

I def agree with you about restricting and why we binge. I hardly ever allow myself sweets so when I taste the first bite of something like that I am sure to eat the whole container. I call it trigger foods. I may start allowing one LF treat a day to prevent that since I am pretty much doing maintainance cals now. :) Do you guys have "trigger" foods? Mine is ice cream. |
