Hey this is perfect! That is actually my goal! ...well my goal is 16lbs by then but 15 is probably better? And I even weigh in on Mondays (august 25th is a monday :D) PERFECT! Im already a member of the tall girls group-Im 5'10-164lbs...August 18th Im going on a trip to the river, innertubing with some pals and I wanna be smokin hot in my 'kini, hoping to be no more than 156--thats 1lb a week. @ the very least! And I will do it too...no slacking off, you guys gotta help me! :P Lets do it!

Starting Weight: 172

Current Weight: 164

Goal Weight for August 25: 149 (thats -15lbs)

8 weeks to go!...I wonder what I can make happen in 8 weeks :)

Edited to add: What Im doing to lose weight is trying to eat around 1400-1500 cals a day and do about an hour of cardio (or burn 400 cals in exercise each day plus my 1900 BMR) and get a defecit each day of around 800.

Let's have a weekly weigh in say on thursdays? So for today we could post starting weight, goal weight by August 25th, what we plan on doing to reach our goals and what we would like the group to provide for us (for example low cal recipes, support, exercise ideas, etc.) =]

Plan: Eat 1300-1400 calories daily, exercise 400+ calories off at gym.

Group: I would like support and motivation from the group. I have a tendency to lose motivation after awhile.

Also, if you have any ideas on how to make the group more motivational so we achieve our goals that would be great! =]
Halcy - weigh ins are a great idea!

I have my weigh ins on a friday but I could shift them to thursdays. (even if your weigh ins are on a different day, use your weight from that weigh in and post it on the thursday.

Current Weight: Last weigh in I was 145

Goal weight: 130

Plan for this week: to do ALL of my excercises, to do my runs - not to worry about my elbow (just had op on my elbow, removed the radial head and stretched the tendons - so weights are out the question) But that doesn't mean I can't do the excercises WITHOUT the weights. I get my stitches out tomoz - so I'll ask the nurse about swimming and my elbow. I'm think coz of the low impact, it could be good to help mobalise my elbow.

Maybe in a few weeks or so...

I've got my run sched for tomoz - I'm doing the learn to run thing.

Must really look at what I am eating.

I'm 5'6" and fluctuate between 147 and 150.  My goal is 135, and August 25th is a great date because that's right before my birthday and a trip home to see family (haven't been home since Christmas).  I'm usually pretty good about eating well, but lately I've been struggling a little bit more.  It'd be nice to have some accountability for what I eat, and the motivation to be better about it!


Plan: 

  • 1300-1400 cals/day
  • Cardio at least 5 times a week
  • Strength training at least 3 times a week (including Pilates, abs etc.)

Any suggestions or modifications?

I'm in too.  I am 26, 5'7" and 149lbs.  My goal is 135 so I've got 14lbs to lose.

I am 5'8 and 138. I want to be down to about 125 by the end of summer. Close enough to 15!

I am 5'3 120 lbs right now. I would like to get down to 113 at least. I think 15 pounds less would be too small for me, that would put me at 105 lbs. I think 107 would be a great weight for my frame and height.

 

I turn 25 at the beginning of September so this will be perfect!!

CC says that I should consume around 1300 calories a day. 

Current weight: 120

Plan: Eat 1300-1400 calories daily, exercise for 1 to 2 hours 5 times a week at the gym.

count me in!!!  i'm 5'4" and 150 lbs. i think 140 would ideal for me. ive been at this since february, so hopefully something will change!! lol

5'3" 125 lbs...i want to be somewhere between 105-110 by the end of august.

 

Count me inthis one. My goals is 14 lb by august 31st but this is close enoght, I aim for half a stone a month anyway.

HEY! I will join I turn 30 Aug 24th  and I am trying to get into much better shape. I need all the motivation adn inspiration I can get. I would even settle for 10lbs. I am 29, 5,2" and 145-150lbs (I don't own a scale....lol) would like to be around 130-135 again like I was in my early 20's!

Hi everyone. I just checked back to this thread, it's grown!! I guess it's Thursday check-in, so I'll look forward to that. But since I missed yesterday :

Goal : 115-117

Plan : continue running and adding miles, swim 2 hours a week (one hour class twice a week), add some strength training. LOTS OF WATER. And not to stress!


I say don't stress but yeah, I just bought a pair of pants I know would fit me had I not gained these 10 pounds. Soooo, they'll be in the back of my mind, especially when I'm at the bar (oops!) or not wanting to get up and swim at 6am.

I'm in. It will be my "size healthier" lol

How are we doing this? Weekly check in? Accountability?

I'm eating about 1400 cal per day... Soo excited!!
