Hi, I am 5'10" and going for 155. CC said 156.8, but that seemed like a weird number, so I chose 155. I seem to hang onto the postbaby weight for a loooong time. After my first daughter, I was about 40-50 pounds over weight for about 2 years. I got down to about 180 before my wedding, but then got pregnant again (baby is almost 2) and now have about 50-60 pounds to lose. |

Blondin1 - does CC tell you an ideal weight for your height? I don't think I've seen that. I guess I chose 155 because I can't remember being slimmer than that before kids - I know when I got pregnant with my first son after a miscarriage I weighted 165 and that was the heaviest I ever remembered being. And I just want a weight that is easy for me to maintain, where I still feel good and look slim. And thankfully my husband doesn't want me super thin either - which is awesome. And I too want to get tonned up - I've been using resitance bands at home for about 30 min 3 times a week and it's totally helped me lose the weight and I'm noticing new muscle definition already - it rocks! |

I'm 6'1", my goal weight is 170. You all make me look shameful. But I recall being quite slim at 170. I was my smallest at 150, but I was very young (15). |

5'9.5" currently 166, looking to get down into the low 150's. I think I'll reevaluate at that time to see if I want to lose any more. I really thought that I was going to be happy at 160, but I know that it'll still feel way too big on me. Apparently I hold all my weight in my stomach. *sigh*

leelaa - somewhere in my travels, cc determined that I should be at 156.8 to be in an ideal range. I have been as low as 140-145, but looked anorexic, and thought that 165 would be good for my height. I guess I will have to see as I get closer. I assumed I was a large frame, but I am a small frame according to the finger/wrist test. |

I am 5'10" and currently 145-ish and am happy with where I am. I started at 215 back in Jan 2006 and have been maintaining this weight for about a year. I weighed 138 this fall but that was due to stress from my father passing away - I looked horrible at that weight. I do boot camp and pilates in addition to cardio and weights, and find that I look better now with mucles and strength. I am wearing a size 4 or 5 pants. |

k-loo: Hi there, well i certainly feel i have a bit to lose yet, perhaps if my weight was evenly distributed i would feel better but its not, its all in my tummy and upper thighs. Basically exercise wise, I try to get to the gym or 4 mile run 5 days a week, I make sure I do something everyday, whatever I can, which sometimes is no more than a 15 min walk to and from work, I have been maintaining my weight at approx. 1500 cals a day and aiming for a 1000 cal deficit most days, however, im going to try alternate my cals more 1200 one day 1500 the next, mix it up so my metabolism doesnt stall |

Carol...thanks for the reply! I suppose that would be the difference between us! I would die on a 1500 calorie a day diet!! I tried it, yeah, it didn't work so well for me. I'm actually on a major plateau right now for some reason, I keep getting told I'm not eating enough for the amount of exercise I do. I eat roughly 2000 calories a day and I work out 6 days a week. I run a lot and do HIIT on most days. I average about 20-25 miles a week on top of my strength training I do 4 days a week. You look great though, seems you carry your weight very well! I feel most of my unwanted fat goes to my lower back and stomach...I hate it! I started doing some hard core...core routines....I'm hoping to see results soon! |

Let me know how that goes definitely, there is a core concentration class at my gym that I was thinking of joining but I'm just not sure if theres any point yet as I'd build up all the muscle only to be hidden under a layer of fat. Im hoping once I lose a few more pounds by July I can start then and see results and be motivated to continue, well it sounds like you work out way more than me and at a higher intensity so you prob need those extra cals!! Keep up the good work! you cant be too out of shape if your hitting 25 miles per week so weldone! |

Aw crap, am I the tallest one? Edit: Sorry krodger, don't know how I missed your post! Beat me by an inch. :D I'm 6'0" and not sure how much I weigh (I've stopped weighing). I'm working on toning and defining muscles. So far I'm very happy with how my abs are looking! :) Oh, and where do you all buy jeans? Am I the only one who has to travel to hell and back to find jeans that fit correctly? |

I am 37, 5'10'', currently at 211, and shooting for 180. That would put me smaller than I've been in 16 years---after the birth of my first son. Before I had him, I was at 160. Reaching that would be a dream come true. I'm almost afraid to set my goal too low. I don't want to set myself up to fail and then feel bad, even though I've already lost 65 pounds. Jeans are always a struggle. The fad that brought capris back in style is such a blessing! Try Eddie Bauer. They're expensive, but if you visit the outlet website, you can sometimes get them at a reasonable price--- www.eddiebaueroutlet.com.
