| boyfriend tempts me with delicious cheeseburgers | ||

My boyfriend has the tall, thing, 20-something boy metabolism and eats anything he wants. But since we've been dating I've eaten way too much fast food and way too much junk food, and we go out to eat quite a bit. Its really hard to resist when I'm hungry too. Any suggestions on ways to avoid caving and continue heating healthy? |

Mine too. It doesn't help that I live in Westwood Village (the heart of UCLA) and there are tons of 24-hour places around here. In-N-Out is my ultimate AM weakness. Even though there's a 24-hour amazing deli practically right next to me I still go for the burger. I've tried to mediate this by cooking more at home. I am a good cook, and I usually cook for myself when my boyfriend isn't here (he lives in Boston, but he's actually moving here in 4 days! Yay and ACK for my weight!). That's usually when I lose weight, lol. But I made him promise that we'd eat in more... he loves my salads, sandwiches, stews, roasts and pastas but he always feels bad if I spend more than an hour on a meal, which is why we go out so much. Not this time though! I'm determined to wean him off the junk food... he's stick skinny but it's not good for him anyway =P |

I hear all of ya! I've eaten out so much more now that I live with my fiance. He snacks every hour or so, and when I give him a grocery list, he gets all the healthy stuff I put down, but also a ton of crap. The other day I had to remove two 8-piece packages of Reeses Peanut Butter cups from our cart at the grocery store and throw in grapes and strawberries. I'm pretty good about saying no when he offers me something, but his eating out habits are definitely affecting me. |

lol my brother comes home with bags of fast food and offers me a bag of burgers and my mom orders pizza hut and asks me if i want some... i always do want it BUT i make them order the healthy version as well and i give them a guilt trip about it (that i will starve if they dont get me the order i want). if its a burger joint and ur under a calorie crunch order a grilled chicken sandwich and dump one side of the bun. if its pizza get thincrust and half the cheese. i think it kills like 100 to 150 cals per slice depending on the restaurant. if its a sitdown restuarant ask for less oil/ask if there is cream in it/ and order the fishes or chicken dishes with veggies. |
