i put my status as "sedentary" and the only activities i log into the BURN METER are ones i do at the gym: cardios and free weights.

im 18 years old. a senior in high school. and i think i weight more or less 130 lbs?

would i be overestimating the number of cals BURNED for the day?

this just dawned on me today... i was thinking..

oh my goodness.. what if the reason why i haven't been losing THAT much weight was because i was burning less than what my burn meter said i burned!!!

No, you're doing it correctly. You can either set it to sedentary and log your exercise or pick a setting that already includes your average activity level.

Actually since you are a teen you are probably burning way more than you think. This website is not designed for teenager's calorie needs and metabolism, so it's likely you are actually underestimating your burn rate.
