ok. so i gotta vent somehow. this morning i woke up pretty early(around 4 am) so that i could do some revision for my coming finals. i made myself a breakfast, 5 tbsp oatmeal, 1 tbsp flaxseed, 2 tsp brown sugar and 2 tbsp golden raisins. i thought i would stop there and feel full but heck, my mouth still wanted to eat. so i made myself a cup of coffee with 1 tsp brown sugar n 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg. i should be pretty full by now. but nope... i ate 2 small apples, a few slices of carambola, oh i finished a whole packet of jacob's craks (85g = 383 kcal), 1 small plum and probably around 10 dried figs(small in size..about 8g each) before heading to the gym which is at 9 am. if this is not binging, then i dono what is... and for lunch i had skate fish. and now i am full. check out my logs if u want to... i need help to stop this big big breakfast.. makes me feel bloated

| i suggest you leave out the sugar and allow yourself to eat more protein in the morning. worry less about calories and more about content. | ||

That is a good breakfast, do you regularly not eat anymore after lunch? if so it maybe contributing to your unstoppable hunger in the morning. That is just way to long a period to go without food. Assuming you eat lunch at around 1pm that's an average of 15hrs without food...really not a good idea. |

That's still not very much to keep you going until morning, you should be trying to eat six meals a day. I agree with the advice pgeorgian gave you. |

hey--i think we've all been there :) i think overall it's good to try to focus on the positive; from what it looks like, although you may at times eat more than you'd like to, you DO make really healthy food choices. you may want to consider getting more protein into your diet and see what that does for you. i've noticed that carbs alone, regardless of how much you eat can often leave you hurgry/unsatisfied. try adding something like tofu, chicken, turkey, fish, cheese etc (protein) and you're bound to feel fuller sooner. good luck and keep up the healthy eating. p.s. could you be potentially eating more than you'd like from the stress of finals also...? |

I'd drink a BIG glass of water before any of that. I've heard it 16oz of water in the a.m can boost the metabolism... also... there's times I wake up "starving" but after some water, I realize I'm not as hungry as I thought (but I still have breakfast right away).
One more huge tip... I would have had the oatmeal concoction with an egg, or 3-5 egg whites... Basically I believe WATER and PROTEIN are the solution to end that "still hungry" feeling :) |

at least it's not completely junk food! :) i'd suggest that maybe you eat a larger dinner if you can, or spread out the calorie consumption throughout the day, that may help with the bloating feeling! good luck! |
