Ounce for ounce, they're pretty much the same. Occasionally whipped cream will have a little less sugar, but it really depends on who made it. Whipped cream has more air bubbles, so if you're looking for a big volume of something, then that's the way to go. I guess it also depends on whether you want something frozen or not. |

| Whipped cream is just cream... one product. Good quality ice-cream involves cream, possibly eggs, some sugar and then a flavouring of some kind. But there's a vast range of poor ice-creams that don't have any real dairy content and are a collection of thickeners, artificial flavourings, colourings and starches. I'd dodge the latter and enjoy either of the first two in moderation. | ||
