Big weekend leiela
  May 08 2008 22:10

Ok so this weekend is my and my husbands 10th wedding anniversary ... ive booked an AMAZING room for two nights in a massive medieval castle with four poster beds and all origional fittings, which is costing a small fortune.

the problem is that is bed and breakfast the menu looked amazing really yummy and it comes with a massive 7 course medieval feast on the second night.

I don't know what to do ???

Should i sod the diet for the weekend and just enjoy it as things like this don't happen very often concider it 2 MASSIVE cheat days and get back on the diet monday morning. (how much damage is that gonna do me??)

Or

Should i limit myself over the weekend?? at which point how should i go about it??? the food looks great but none of it sounds very low cal ...

maybe you should try picking 1 meal each day to eat whatver you want, but for the other 2 meals try to limit portion sizes and be healthy. i think the best way to do it would be to find some sort of balance even if you don't take that idea.

Enjoy yourself... but maybe not to excess. Besides you can always work off the calories in the four-poster bed ;)

First off, congratulations on hitting 10 years!  That's great.

With that, enjoy everything the weekend experience is suppose to be. Eat, drink and be merry. You're celebrating. The brochure doesn't say you have to belong to "the clean plate club". Trust your body. I'm sure you will incorporate healthier food choices on your own. Have fun!!! It's only two days!

Enjoy, and let the adventure set the tone.

The food will just add to the celebration not be it.

Ten years is huge....Happy Anniversary!

what an amazing sounding place!! a medieval feast sounds fantastic.. mm..

I'd say.. enjoy yourself, and eat whatever looks tasty - you don't have to eat loads of it, just take your time with it and savour the smells and tastes!

Congrats on 10 years, and on finding such a great place to celebrate!

Thanks guys,

Im so proud of myself for finding it, i suck at suprises and i think this is just the sort of thing my hubby will love.

In 10 years this is the first time im really confident about my prezzy the brochure etc looks fantastic and we get to dress up in medieval costumes like great big geeks HAHA ....

I debateed the whole romantic thing but i figured this would be more fun and something he'd really get into, he;ll do the romantic thing infact he's usually much better at it than me. i just wanted this weekend to be something he wouldn't forget in a hurry.

the whole food side of it scares me though, after 3 weeks im finnally showing prrogess i don't want to mess it all up but at the same time i do't want to ruin the weekend with my calorie counting.

i agree with everyone who said ENJOY YOURSELF! 10 years is HUGE... congratulations! so definitely have fun throughout the weekend and dont worry too much about calories, keep portions in mind, and just hop back on track on monday. most people encourage a cheat day every now and then, you said yourself that youve done well the past three weeks, well, this trip can be your reward for that too!
