Need someone to lose weight with me, once and for all

I am a 17-year-old who is 5'7 and weighs 153. I want to get down to 135. I don't feel hugely overweight, I just am a bit self-conscious and want to get that extra weight off of me, once and for all. I played soccer in high school, so I would work out a ton, but the weight never came off. My New Years resolution is to shed these few pounds that refuse to come off of me. Anyone want to do weigh-ins with me every week or so? I need to get motivated to make my final push in losing this weight.

Well that sounds awesome. I have tried a billion times to lose weight, but every other girl in my family is as skinny as a twig, so I have no one to do it with. So this will be good for me. How do you guys want to do this then? Have a weigh in on certain days or something? Write back with other ideas if you have them.

PS What makes you so motivated? I would love to know your secret.

mmm we can weigh in &post of food intake goals like what foods etc.

i just get motivated thinking about how happy ill be when im healthy/strong/thin (but still with curves)

every time i want to break my diet i just sing to myself

"if you want it bad enough... o if you want it bad enough, keep your eyes, on the prize"

+ i also say "if its worth having, its worth working hard for" ( i dont sing this tho, LOL)

Sounds great to me. So what do you say this Friday we record our weight and then every Friday after that, do a weigh-in? Haha I am loving the singing idea by the way. Let me know how that sounds. And if you are reading this, YOU TOO MELISSA. We are going to do this thing. Laughing

This sounds great you two. 17 year old male year, also trying to get back into shape. 178 trying get down to 150. Think this could definately be a way to finally get back into shape :)

great! so do you guys want to make it a competition, like 1st 2nd 3rd &&4th?? itd really keep me motivated. what do you guys think?

That sounds awesome to me. That would definately keep me going. What should our end date be? Like sometime in April? Tell me what you think. And also I had my weigh in today, I am 155. What did you start at? 141 is good to me, so nicely done. Are we doing how much percentage is lost, or how many pounds?

hmmm i think percentage would be better, butr whatever you guys want is fine with me! idk my goal is by june... slow is best.

I don't know what she is going to be doing. I haven't heard from her. Yeah so I am officially stoked for this little competition now, sounds like just what I need to get going. PS if there is anyone who stumbles on this, don't hesitate to join. We are going to see who loses the most percentage of their body weight by June. Our own little biggest loser :)

PS to peaceloehominy: how did you go from 170 to 140? That is totally amazing, props to you. How did you do it?

ehhh... i did it a tad bit on the unhealthy side, but am looking forward to doing it healthy thi time.

 Well, first hi, I'm Ally, I'm 16 and as of friday weighing in at 143lbs.  I would like to get down to 120lbs, so I have 16% of my current weight to lose, and then I will have lost the big 5-0 (looking forward to that!)

Anyway, to quote arnie, 'I'll be back' 

Im about 118 aiming for 108 and im VERRY short so 108 isnt sickly low at all, I chose 108 because its in the very middle of the healthy BMI
Seems like this is getting some good reviews :P. Can't wait.
