| Hey people. Ive had a lot of personal responses about this forum but no one talking in the forum. I want a small group of people that we can all get to know, bond with, and help eachother through our weightloss journies. If youre interested I would love to hear from you... in the forum! | ||

Hi! I've been on CC for a while. I've lost just over 50 lbs, but at the moment am really struggling for motivation on losing the rest. I've just turned 24 a couple of weeks ago. *sigh* |

I'm too a bit bummed.......I've cut back on calories and increased exercise and have gained 4 pounds I am re-evaluating my diet using CC's analysis.....I think I am eating too many carbs. But the carbs are coming from fruits and veggies so I thought I was in the clear. I am going to increase my protein and see if that works.

Well Im 27, guess thats not too old eh. I have been struggling with a plateau since June. I lost 38lbs and then gained back 10. Im just taking a month off...kinda...really I have been eating maintenance to try and get the metabolism pumped again. I really did this myself though. Im 5'9 and started at 238 eating 1500 cals when I should have been eating WAY more. So now Im just trying to fix it so I can be on my merry way with the weight-loss. My patience is running very thin. Im ready to lose more weight! I promised muself that I would'nt give up over a plateau, and I wont. Im in it for the long haul! **scream** |

I'm 23 and have been on CC for quite some time myself. I've lost 160 pounds this past 16 months (no pills, no surgery) so I've been through it ALL. Now I'm trying to maintain. Just as hard if you ask me. If you've been exercising and not losing, you're probably not eating enough. Are you doing weight training or cardio? Cardio burns calories so you need to eat back enough so your body does not think it's starving. A starving body will hold onto fat. Never give up :) |

holy! you are such an inspiration. I love the pic of you in your huge pants! One day there will be a pic of me on here like that. I am doing both cardio and weight training. Im following the 12 week exercise program (is anyone else?) I really like it. Perhaps I havent lost because Ive gained muscle mass? I dont know, but not to worry Im not going to give up. |

Muscle mass could be a possibility. Maybe you should start a picture journal (take snapshots and keep them somewhere in your computer so you can compare) and use a measuring tape. That way you know what's up :) |

Total I've lost 63.5 pounds and 37 pounds in the two months I got to stick with Calorie-Count's recommendations. Since October, though, I've just been trying to not gain since I've had a severe reduction in calories. I lost my job, can't afford food, blah blah blah, most people know the story by now. Fortunately I've been able to continue losing. It's slow goin' but I am still losing a few pounds here and there and a lot of inches, which is fine by me. I turned 20 in October. :D I spend most of my time making new dresses and skirts since I have excess fabric, but no excess money to buy new jeans. I'm starting to look ridiculous wearing a belt with my jeans now so I'll be skirting it until I get a job that actually gives me hours. |

| I looked into the 12 week exercise program CC has and I think I'm going to try it out. I am exercising now but it's kind of without rhyme or reason. I'll start it tomorrow see how it goes.............. | ||

i'll join in on this one. i'm 20yrs old. total i've lost 40lbs... the first twenty summer 06, maintained for the school year, and then lost the second twenty this past summer but i gained 5 back *sigh* at the beginning of this semester. stress really does it to me! i'm alright with it though. just struggling to maintain. i think my body's adjusting though! finally! i love the way i eat too. i'm a BIG fruit eater. I'd live off of it if i could. i'm actually considering starting a raw food cleanse for a week on friday(last exam) to try to help my system out since i've been compulsively eating since exams started. ah! but i'll have to do more research. i'm glad you started this forum, kirsten! |

i'm so glad I stumbled onto this group. I am 20 (almost 21!) and have been on CC for about 2 months... I have lost approx. 6 lbs and have 12 more to reach my goal. I have struggled w/ an ED so 'weight' in general has been an issue for me for quite some time. This time feels right though. NO PILLS, NO VOMITING- simply sensible eating habits and exercise....although I must admit, my butt is lazy when it comes to exercise...ecspecially MICHIGAN in the winter...(I hate gyms). I was doing pretty good for awhile, but my best friend (who was my exercise motivator) moved away and now I am in a rut... any motivation would be GREATLY appreciated! |
