We're all different, and we all have different likes/dislikes, right?  So, when in need of a little motivation in regards to weight loss, what's your motivation style?  Here's some examples of what I mean...

  • Encourage Smile - prefers to receive positive comments or comments recognizing their efforts.
  • Anger Yell - uses anger as motivation to be active or to do even better, like getting the heck out of the house and taking a looooong walk instead of sulking at home.  :-)
  • Compete Cool - prefers to find someone of similar height/weight/age and see which one can achieve a certain weight goal first, without cheating!  (No starvation or setting the scale a bit off from zero!)
  • Follower Sealed - prefers to follow in the footsteps of a friend who is achieving their weight goals, possibly copying that person's workout routine or "special diet" secrets, etc.

Are there other types than the ones I mentioned?  Feel free to add them & see if you can find someone who can help keep you motivated in a way that truly works for you!

Don't-Give-A-Damn - Doesn't look at anyone else but themselves, doesn't listen to anyone but themselves, and takes allllllll the glory when they succeed.

Yep.  That's me.  I hate getting comments saying I did good.  I hate when people put me down and expect me to try to "show 'em", I hate competing 'cause I get too competitive and cheat to win, and I hate following behind everyone else.  I've got a jiggly butt and I'll be damned if nobody's staring at it, but rather I'm staring at everyone elses!
Not wanting to die of a heart attack when I'm 30 - Yeah.

LOL! You go girls! Those are definitely new ones to add to the list...

I too, would like to NOT die of a heart attack... from being overweight or from overdoing the attempts at losing the weight. :-)

Ah, who am I kidding?  I'm a lazy-ass.  Should we add that one to the category?  Nah, I guess it's not really that motivating, is it?  ;-)

Ranting/Whining/Sarcasm  ... voices my frustrations, fears, worries, complaints, emotions, criticism and general annoyance at calorie and carb deprivation in written form ... both to entertain myself as well as to entertain and encourage others.

That would be MY (weird) style.
