hey my freind was telling me this mornign about a milion things you can do in the mornings with whey protein powder to make a real good power protein shake. if you guys have any links or recipes for good stuff you can do for breakfast with whey protein id love to hear :)  thanx

I have my protein shake at night as dessert :)
I use:

1 scoop chocolate soy protein powder (Spiru-tein brand)
8-10 oz soy milk
a handful of frozen mixed berries

Yummy.
I am interested to hear some other ideas too :)

I use 1/2 scoop chocolate whey protein powder and either 1/2 frozen banana or some frozen strawberries and a bit of yogurt.

I like to really get alot of ice in there and blend it smooth so it's nice, thick, and creamy. Almost like a milkshake, but only 100 calories and protein as opposed to sugar. :P
the best time to have it is right after you work out, the protein helps. But i have chocolate whey, and i just mix it with skim milk and ice, and sometimes a packet of artificial sugar, whatever kind u use.. tastes great just like that.

Pretty much though you can just throw whatever you want to together... Fruits, Milk, Peanut Butter, Ice and Whey Protein... Dry cereal, Cooked oatmeal... Almonds, Peanuts, Cashews... You really can't go wrong... Just measure out everything and make about a 500-700 calorie shake and then have half for breakfast and save the other half (put it in the fridge) for later...
Oh, and I've heard of people using chocolate protein powder for baking their own protein bars! I've never tried it myself, but it sounds interesting. Mix it with oatmeal, granola, or peanutbutter to achieve full protein potention. ;)

I am not really a fan of drinking a straight protein shake :/ But i do put a tsp of that here and there in my meal, i.e. in my cereal, my oatmeal, my snack (with fat free cottage cheese) etc.

The thought of making your own protein bar with that sounds interesting. I might look for the recipe online...

I usually put a scoop of vanilla protein powder in my wheat bran every morning.  Just so i'm getting some protein with my carbs!!
