let's gear up to get the weight off and keep it off.

currently working on updates, so please be understanding.

added only those how said they wanted to be included and updated weights.

Slimming Mini - rules.  for every 15 minutes of workout is 3 points

for every 8 oz of water is 2 points, and every pound lost is 1 point.

Hey cocowan! Seems like you are sticking with your goals!! That's awesome! Mine is just to get on the stinkin treadmill!! I'd kill over I think if I did 45 mins. When I get on I usually do about 20 mins going at 3.5 mph. Also inclined.. but I'm not sure what it is to now. But anyhow..

I try to treadmill everyday. I usually go for 45 mins at 2 MPH, been going 10 mins at 2.5 MPH.

suggesting a daily challenge?
I am 5 foot and nothing and after cutting off half of my hair this past weekend ( I was dying to experiment with my look ;) I found myself 4lbs lighter on the scale! I dont think it had to do much with my hair but feels awesome.....although got into an argument with my bf who hates the new look and the rest of the people in my world think I look super cute!!!!!

Anyway, my point is I am bored outta my living daylights this monday morning and wanted some place to ramble about my weight loss, the fight with my sweetheart, my self confidence goin through the roof and most importantly, knowin its OK to be short coz I am not the only one :)

Have a good day ladies and keep smiling, coz ALL GOOD THINGS COME IN SMALL PACKAGES and we are a living example of that!
Hi. saric here. This is my first time blogging on here. I'm 4' 11" and soon to be 49. I had been a heavy person ALL my life. Then, at age 40, my doctor gave me a lot of grief because I was 205 lbs. After having been on one diet or another for 30 years, I made the decision to simply change. I changed not only what I ate, but the way I thought about food. I realized that I'm a food addict and have to always be aware of what I eat and why. I became vegetarian but also kept a close eye on fats and sodium. As of today, I weigh 108. Keeping track and knowing about the foods I eat on this web site has helped tremendously.
I will take you up on that challenge. I'll try for 30 mins at 3 mph. I'll put my mp3 on and maybe it'll help it go by faster :)
Age: 24

Starting weight: 186

Current weight: 168

Goal Weight: 130

Waist: 34.5 (when I was 186)

I'm not sure about my other measurements.

Routine: walking an hour everyday, 45 minutes on the elliptical 5 days a week.

Calories: between 1200-1600 per day.  I give myself 1 free day when I can have some of the food I want.  Not a big out or a binge, but not chicken and veggies.

Water: between 8-14 small bottles a day

Current goal: To quit smoking

hello all,

last night I accomplished my treadmill goal and working on the challenge that swtiris put out to me of 100 crunches. I did 20 (ouch!) Also looking or a new challenge for today, inaddition to my crunches. anyone want to do a teadmill challenge?

Mandylw, did you make your goal?
Hey all!

I'm 5'1"

140lbs as of today

Began at 170 in Jan 06

Began on calorie count at 153 in Jan of 07

goal is 110-120 (honestly I'll be happy at 120 as long as I'm fit.)

I try to work out almost daily.  Iusually do 45 minutes to an hour between my treadmill and elliptical.  This past week has been rough.  We had guests over the weekend, so the diet went to heck.  I'm back on though, as of monday.  I dropped like 4 lbs of water weight after going back to my diet.   (totally because I didn't drink enough water over the weekend.)

Anybody want to have a water challenge?  I find this is the hardest thing for me to do, but is most effective in my weight loss efforts.  I would like to drink AT LEAST 8 glasses a day.  I find it's actually better with 10-12.
Hi fellow shorties! I will take the water challenge - I can't seem to manage more than two or three glasses a day. I drink a lot of tea though (I'm English...).

I would love an exercise challenge but don't do treadmills or crunches (hernia repair). I've just bought a skipping rope though. Anyone up for a skipping challenge? My aim is to do a few minutes a day.

Start weight 155 (1 Jan 07)

Current weight 147 (and has been FOR WEEKS!!!!)

Goal 137
cocowan, yes I did! I did 30 mins walking 3.5mph..UGH! I was wore out.. but felt tons better and had more energy! I want to do it again today too.. you going to do the treadmill today?
rinzy2000, I will do that with you! I have some 16 ounce water bottled water so I wonder how many bottled water bottles you are suppose to have a day? anyone know?
I did 40 minutes on the elliptical today.  I didn't walk my hour though.  I had a little trouble on the elliptical due to the fact that I only got about 4 hours of sleep (Damn shift work).  I started way too strong at about 7.5 with a level 5 resistance.  That only last for about 18 minutes.  After that I was struggling to keep it at 5.5-6.0 for the rest of the 40 minutes.  Oh well, I will try and get some sleep tonight and hit it again harder tomorrow.  I also found a workout buddy that is going to lift with me tomorrow.  Wish me luck!!!
I'm also up for the hundred crunches.  Is that daily or total for the week?
