Where to buy the real Hoodia?

Quote  |  Reply
My sister came for the week-end as I'm home alone being a fishing widow. She brought some Hoodia diet pills we took them all week-end and felt just as hungry as usual. I think it must be one of the fake or very low dose pills that are out there. Anyone know where to buy the real Hoodia? We did miles and miles of shopping and ate sensibly and drank lots of diet soda and giggled a lot. Sisters are the best!!!!

I'd have a cup of tea instead of pills :)
I think the tea is a good idea. I would never order pills of any kind over the internet. Many of them are manufactured in someones basement, and they can be packaged to look pretty convincing.  Be very careful.

Sisters are the best! I have two, one is 63, the other is 53 and I'm 51. we still giggle like kids when we get together.

We bought Hoodia pills also, advertised in  a magazine (Ladies Home Journal maybe?).  Paid a lot $ for 2 bottles and still always felt hungry.  Didn't work for us at all!

Sure wish the old college days of DEXAMYL prescriptions were back again.  Now those worked!  I could go all day on one, lost weight, felt great!  Now nothing seems to work.   Any ideas?
messing around with the messengers in your body just isn't a wise idea.
i purchased supposed "real hoodia" at a GNC store and honestly, they did nothing for me. it was a waste of money.

I've tried hoodia tablets - got them from purehoodia.co.uk - they really do work, i forget about the fact i have taken them, then realise I'm not hungry at all at lunch. Take about 3 at a time with water, they don't smell very nice, but they do work!! bit expensive too, but worth it I think, if you really have no will power at all, they will take your hunger away - no choice!!
I heard a nutritionist speak recently and someone in the audience asked about Hoodia.  The nutritionist had studied Hoodia and said this: The problem with Hoodia is that it's hunger-reducing properties are only "active" in the live plant, which is only found in Africa.  Once it is dried or otherwise manipulated into pill form, it loses those properties.  I found the following article about Hoodia on webMD.

http://www.webmd.com/diet/guide/hoodia-lots-o f-hoopla-little-science?page=2

One important point in the article is that there are lots of companies out there that aren't using authentic Hoodia and that you should use caution when purchasing it.  If they're not using Hoodia, are you sure you want to be ingesting it?

If I need to suppress my appetite, I drink a glass of water.  Works every time.
Gum works for me as appetite suppression. Don't remember the specifics, but it gears your body up to eat (because you're chewing and taste/smell 'food'), and confuses it when you aren't. :)

Any type of Hoodia in pill or powder format does not work to suppress appetite,  after it has been dried out and powdered it does not work.

The hoodia plant only works in it's natural form, by chewing the leaves.  It is an African plant that is protected, so it would be nearly impossible for anyone to be able to buy the stuff that works.
I spent $46 on supposed real hoodia. Did nothing... I still have half a bottle of the stuff in my cabinet, rotting away. I should just throw them out.
the only thing i tried with hoodia was "power pops"

they have other stuff in them.
but they did work for me,my boyfriend and friends.

you can usually find little sample packs for cheap.
so worse comes to worse if they dont work for you,
you have some lollypops that taste really good.

The only real Hoodia is the actual plant on Africa.

Anything other than that is not real Hoodia and will not work as they say it will work.

I'm on my third bottle that I bought at Wal-Mart.  It does seem to take the edge of the hunger, but I'm not sure if it's the glass of water taken with it, or a placebo effect.  I don't think I'll continue buying more since I have success with counting calories and eating lean cuisine meals.
