What did YOU eat today? ilisa
  Mar 15 2007 21:43
Don't list the calories, don't list the exercise, don't list portion sizes.

None of those pesky numbers, since we all are different.

One person can need 1400 a day, while another can need 2,500, and it can be really triggering to see someone ate a lower number than yourself.

Therefore, just list the food you ate. This will help us understand the value of eating healthy food (for the nutrients), while also indulging moderately in empty calories when we want. I don't know about you, but I'm aiming for 90% healthy foods - and 10% empty calories. ;)

Also, do not post here if you are starving yourself. I'm not interested in the details, it is only going to get others riled up, and it is triggering to those of us trying to recover from an eating disorder. Okay, thank-you.

Here's me for today:

Breakfast: slept far too late
Lunch: sandwich (100% whole wheat bread, garden burger veggie medley patty, soy dijon "mayo", pickle, lettuce), dried apricots, diet soda, tums, vitamin
Snack: apple, no salt added raw almond butter
Dinner: corn, bell peppers, sugar-snap peas, lettuce, firm tofu, soy dressing, tums
Snack: soy delicious peanut butter zig zag! yumm.

uncleben, no portion sizes please. I tried very hard not to comment on your quite obvious starvation intake, but I can't resist: That is starvation. You are killing yourself. Please get help.
#13 gonna_do_it Mar 15 2007 22:20
uncleben, if that's really what you ate all day you're headed for serious trouble...

im on my period n always gain weight on it thats why im eating barely anything i dont need help lol
#16 ilisa Mar 15 2007 22:24
uncleben, the weight you gain around the time of and during your period is water retention aka fake weight. And frankly, I don't believe you, I've seen some of your previous posts..in ED topics.
#17 uncleben Mar 15 2007 22:25
if its fake weight how come it never comes off once im off my rag?
#18 ilisa Mar 15 2007 22:27
Because you are starving yourself, your body doesn't know how to properly process water, sodium, or calories anymore, and it's clinging to everything it can get.
#19 pnklava Mar 15 2007 22:35
uncleben, seriously... get help.  So what if you gain during your period?  So does the rest of the females in the world.  If you keep things healthy then the weight will come off.  Starving yourself is not eating healthy.

And on that note, for today..
Breakfast - Rice Krispies and fat free milk
Lunch - pomegrante blueberry naked juice, croissant (couldnt resist)
Dinner - I havent had it yet... but it will be grilled chicken, a huge salad and some kind of fruit
Snack - 100 calorie snack

Breakfast: South Beach Peanut Butter Breakfast Bar, cup of strawberry yogurt, 2 cups of coffee with suger free french vanilla creamer and a bottle of water.

Lunch:  Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich made with 2 slices of Natures Own 100% Whole Wheat Bread, crunchy Peanut Butter, and concord grape jelly, a medium apple, a bottle of aquacal (I think maybe by aquafina - totally yummy) concord grape water.

Snack:  2 slices of sun dried tomato turkey breast with a piece of white american cheese rolled into it and one of my daughter's (darn her!) peanut chew squares - she handed it to me and I never thought twice!  Also had another bottle of water and a bottle of diet mountain dew.

evening snack:  Will probably have a  cup of yogurt or an orange in just a little while - wanting something sweet tonight.
