| Jan 22 2007 17:59 | ||
| I'm looking for a 130/120 club, but I don't see any topics started. If anyone knows of the proper topic, would you mind letting me know? Thank you :) |

| Perhaps the I am in the low 130's, but want to be in the 120's... My husband teases me because 129 is my magic number - if the second number is a 2, I am ok, if it is a 3, I get frustrated and a bit obsessed. It has been sittng at 132 for about 2 months. I kept saying it was the holidays... but it is always something. I am small enough that I don't feel like I can complain to anyone else, because I know I am not truly overweight, but I really like the number 2! | ||

I totally understand! I am currently 130-132 (flunctuates daily) and I am striving for 120- 125 at the most. I just CAN'T get the scale to budge, though! The last time I was under 130, I had the stomach virus for a week- got to 127. That is not the way I want to do it, though :).
I am really trying for the "clothes fitting" and "inches" method- I didn't have a scale for years. But now, I weigh every week. Totally frustrating... |

| I am right there with you! I was at 125 after nursing my second son who was allergic to milk (I had to cut out ALL traces of dairy - it was a bummer!). I loved the way my clothes fit. I felt like I could pull anything out of my closet and it fit well. I work out 5 or 6 days a week, but I dont see much of a change. I used to run a ton, but even cutting back on that and trying other things hasn't changed much. Tomorrow I start a new Body Pump class at my gym - I am hoping two days a week that it will tone places that I don't seem to reach. I eat healthfully the majority of the time, but then I am bad about snacking in front of the TV - with two kids, I have more snacks then I used to. I try to keep healthy stuff around for them, but I feel like my mom brings them cookies and brownies and such all the time. (and yes, I have asked, told, and begged her not to - but she is apparently going to do whatever she wants!!) I know logically I just need to cut calories, but I like food! I am an emotional eater, and my husband works a lot, so I often after the kids go to bed, use food as a comfort. So... good luck - maybe we will both get back into the 120's!!! I would be psyched. I need to go shopping for jeans, finally decided I was going to splurge on a fabulous fitting pair - whatever they cost - but I won't go until I lose a few pounds. I am a teacher, so I have given myself the goal of spring break. We'll see how it goes. | ||

| Wow! I can relate! I'm in the low 130's too. I'm not overweight but I'd like to lose a few pounds, get down to 125, and tone up. I know that it would be doable if I could just maintain some normal eating habits (no binging!), but the last two weeks have been horrible. Plus 130 just seems really hard to break through. I'd love to get some support and offer any encouragement that I can from people who can relate. :-) | ||

| I am struggling with the same problem. Unfortnuately the college lifestyle/my metabolism doesn't seem to make this easy. I used to be in the 120's at the beginning of college and I really want to get back to that area, especially because spring break is around the corner. I have picked up my excercise and managed to make it through the holidays at 134 at 5'2". I would also love to offer tons of support and would love some back to help to get me back to my goal. It's nice to hear that other people have to work at it too, it seems like it just comes so easily to some people. | ||

I'm SO glad that I'm not alone! I am small-boned and short (5'3"). I also have a heart condition, so I need to watch my weight, because of the extra strain it puts on it. Right now I am 136, and would love to get back to my 20-year old weight of 115lbs (that is my ideal weight, so says my doctor). But for now, I'll settle for being in my 120s again (mid to low would be best). This weekend - I was NOT good. Dinner night out with friends at a Mexican place... lots of carbs, good margaritas, great company. Then Mexican again on Sunday - with cheese sauce to boot! So this week I'm vowing to be GOOD! I'm a FlyBaby (from FlyLady.net) so I am trying to plan our meals and control what goes in my mouth. I've been eating Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal in the mornings, and trying to have a healthy lunch. I manage to lose it at dinner, mainly because I just don't know of healthy recipes. The hardest part is that my husband and I don't agree on our food choices. Something that sounds WONDERFUL to me, he doesn't like, and things that he loves, I don't! I'll take any advice on that :) Glad to be on this journey with you all!! |

| I am currently at 137 and looking to get down to 125, which was my weight before I came to college. It's really hard to eat healthy when you're living with roommates who eat all the junk they want and not gain a single pound. I hope I lose the extra 12 lbs. by spring break since my hometown buddies are coming to visit. | ||

I eat Quaker weight control oatmeal every morning! I add berries - so yummy! I started a new Body Pump class this morning at the gym. I think it is really going to be good. The instructors kept talking about how it will make everyone lose inches - I am really hoping it is true! I did really well with drinking water yesterday, so I am optimistic today. I really wanted a snack last night before bed, but I decided I would have to post something before I ate it, and I didn't feel like getting on the computer so I didn't eat anything. It is pitiful that the next morning that makes me proud of myself!!!!
Good luck today! |

Kristen-
Thanks for the friend invite! I have added you as well. Glad to hear that the Body Pump class went well this morning. I wish they had something like that at my gym. You will do great- keep it up! I totally understand about feeling proud! I am not saying that you needed to skip the snack, I can just relate to the feeling of having will power over a craving! I had a good day yesterday- lots of grains, fruits and veggies. I still need to work on getting my calories up to 1200, but it is hard to do sometimes. Had a great workout on the elliptical and some arm weights. Tonight it is running/abs/back. Have a great day everyone! We can do it! |

| pcrawdaddy- you sound like you have the perfect figure!! | ||

| at that height, you are NO cow! That is for sure. I am very athletic - played division 1 college field hockey and have a very athletic build. Unfortunately, at age 34, I have thickened out just a bit. Remember that a tiny percentage of the population wears a size 4!!! You are the envy of most women! | ||

I would love to join the 130/120 club also!!! A couple months ago I was happy at 128 even though I wanted to be more like 122-125. But after Thanksgiving I am now 135 and its m aking me nuts. I am 5'5", calorie counting I know works, its tough, I am such an overeater, binger! ugh! :) |

Wow you guys are already up and doing things. I of course got
lazy this morning and overslept so no workout for me this morning, but
as long as I can be productive I think I should fit one in
tonight. It helps to hear that other people are on top of it
because it makes me feel on top of it too. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for me on a particular problem I have. At home I have been really good lately, mostly because I have been good about buying only healthy stuff so when I do snack its on good things. My problem is when I go to my sorority for lunch (which is like 3 or 4 days of the week) or my friends host dinner on tuesdays. The sorority offers a lot of healthy options, like the salad bar, but there is so many options that I usually just eat and eat and eat. Same thing at my friend's dinners, they make so much food and we just sit there for so long I just keep eating. Any good tips to avoid this? |

| Starrose, Eat a HUGE salad with salad dressing spritzed on it (wish bone 1 calorie per spray). Make yourself so full that all you can do is peck around at sorority. | ||

| The whole college diet scene is tough. I am actually 15 pounds thinner (after having two kids!) than I was in college. Just do your best to stay healthy. Eat, but try to eat in moderation. If you need to keep your hands and mouth busy, drink water and chew gum! | ||

| Count me in! I'm 139, 5'3", small framed, and heading to 120. I did it last year and the weight just poured off. This year though, it's a little more frustrating for some reason! | ||

I've had a few set backs, but I'm trying really hard! I really would love to get down to 126, but I dont seem to be able to break out of the 130's. Anybody got any advise? |
