So I started taking this diet pill, only been on it for 2 days and it makes my cheeks sting..it feels like how your foot feels when it falls asleep. Is this normal? I'm not even sure it's from the pill but I just wondered...

With any diet pills, it is highly suggested that you are also taking multivitamins. And have enough food & nutrients daily. That means healthy calorie intake.
Were you overweight - or let me put it this way: how much did you weigh and how much weight did you want to loose when you took Xantrex those years back? How was your diet back then?
If you are not overweight, not doing remotely moderate excercise, not getting enough calories, you most likely feel the effect of the pills threefold. Because:
1. most diet pills out there is 'designed' to burn calories - if you hardly have enough to keep your body working then needless to say it would be unhealthy
2. most of them have high level of caffeine, which makes your blood pump faster, hyper. This effect needs fuel and outlet - food & a workout.
By the way, my guess is that you are feeling that effect on your cheeks. I would stop using it for a week and see what happens.
3. most of the pills are diuretics - you might be dehydrated. Drink plenty of water.

You know, there is no miracle pills, right? People keep saying this, people keep hearing this, but not all actually listen. Those diet pills are concocted within a parameter in order to make it efficiently works (and even with those parameters met, not all results are to satisfactory if any). 2 basic requirements are healthy diet (enough food) and Exercise. If you are not up to those two, I would suggest lay off the pill.

If you google this drug you'll find numerous reports of alarming side effects such as tachycardia - a potentially deadly heart rythym.  Just because it's sold in health food stores doesn't mean it's safe.  The most frequent side effects I read about are dizziness and headache - both a sure sign that something is very wrong.
