I personally don?t use it because it?s very high in calories and fat, my boyfriend who is trying to gain weight uses it, or used to use it and then stopped because it?s so high cal, if you?re trying to lose weight I would recommend switching from Muscle milk to a Whey protein. Whey protein is low cal and fat but high in protein, I drink it after work out to help with recovery.
There is really no reason to use muscle milk.  They add a lot of chemicals in it that are not necessary at all. It is really really easy to make your own Muscle Milk type of shake.  All you really need to buy is Whey Protein.  Something like 1 Scoop Whey Protein + 2 tbsp Natural Peanut Butter + 1 cup oats + 1 cup of FF milk will give you the same nuitrition that buying the Muscle Milk will.  Also you can always use just the whey protein later to bump up your protein intake for the day.

Also muscle milk is for weight gain not weight loss.  It contains lots of calories and really will not fill you up for all.  If you need to bump up your calories for the day but not hungry thats when you reach for Muscle Milk or the shake I said above.
Iris, you're gorgeous!
I agree with you T** Muscle Milk has way too many calories and will not help you lose weight at all. I think one serving has like 580 cals or something crazy like that. Not good for weight loss.
Thanks guys this really helps me ..thanks 4-the gorgeous thing..SILLY!! :)

You know I am tired of people giving Muscle Milk a bad rap.  I have been using Muscle Milk (by the recommendation of my Personal Trainer) since May '06 and I have lost a total of 82.5lbs since jan of this year.

Since starting Muscle Milk, I have found that it helps me get a better work-out (I take it right before I go to the gym- 4 days a week and I allow for the 350 calories in my daily allowance).  I have developed alot of lean muscle and strength since I started taking it.  And it tastes delicious!

Yes like everything else, if you abuse it and use it often and not account for it in your calories it will bulk you (as will anything that you put in your body that contains calories).  However, like I said I have lost alot of weight using it and gained alot of muscle so I give it  thumbs up!

My two cents, hope you find this helpful!

You're very welcome!

*runs off to fill shaker with Muscle Milk before leaving for the gym*

the Muscle Milk Lite is less than 200 calories..............and its Delish!!!

I drink Muscle Milk light before I go to the gym.  I usually only do one scoop instead of two and use half the water (98 calories then).  I allow for it in my daily calories and I have found that I am able to work out longer because of it.  I am building lean muscle, which in the end, will allow my body to burn fat more effectively.  I personally don't worry about my weight that much...I worry about what size clothes I wear, so building the muscle has brought me down a size in clothes even though I have only lost 5 pounds.
