Hello,
I just baked some homemade oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and I plugged the recipe into CC and it said for 31 g its 140 calories. How do I know how many cookies this equals. If its 1 cookie I guess I baked them for eveyrone else. I just can't bring myself to eat 1 cookie thats worth 140 calories! ugh!!! the cookies are about 2-3" in diamater and a little chubby LOL. Please help
If I'm not mistaken, you tell the recipe analyzer how many portions are in your recipe. Did you count the cookies that you made from the recipe? If so, go in and edit the number of portions. If you didn't put porions in I don't know how it could come out 140 calories for 31g.
I used to sell cookies, and they were approximately 25 grams each. Tip: Next time leave the chocolate out. A homemade oatmeal cookie is definitely yummy enough without chocolate.
If you put in how many servings (how many cookies it made), then I assume that 31g = serving = one cookie.
Just for reference: 31grams is about an ounce.
This won't help RIGHT NOW....but my new best friend is a food scale. I know that my portions are exactly what I think they are...31g is 31g rather than eyeballing it, or seeing how 'rounded' I can make 1 cup....
It's a great investment. Hope this helps for next time!
