Hopefully, maybe I could find a workout buddy?

Ok, so I'm 27 years old and have steadily put on more and more weight each year as I get older.

I am married to a man who is super skinny no matter what he does and has no motivation to work out. This is very difficult for me because I want to go and do things, but I feel like I have no support. I want to go for walks, and actually walk TO places, and it's nicer when you have a companion to walk with. I want to go swimming, and again, it's nicer when you have someone there with you. Not only that, but he complains when I start working out a lot, because he says he never gets to spend any time with me. He never wants to do any of these things. All he ever wants to do is sit and watch television and he wants me to sit with him. It makes it really hard on me, because I feel guilty for not spending time with him, but then I feel even worse because I gain weight.

This has been the most frustrating obstacle for me, and I'm not sure what to do.

All I really need is someone who likes to go for brisk walks who might live in my area. Someone I can talk to and keep me company as I walk.

Sounds like to me that your husband wants you to stay the way you are, and you want to be healthier and lose weight! I say, go out and work out and walk places and go swimming and maybe he'll see your enthusiasm and want to be with you. Don't wait for him to change, and don't sit by the tv wishing you were working out! Above all, don't feel guilty for wanting to do something positive for yourself!

Good luck on your being more active. Hope you find a exercise buddy!
