Hello I am new here and well on my way to losing weight
. After extensive testing my Dr decided to "reboot" my body. I went on a "Master Cleanse" for 11 days
. I lost 15 lbs and now I don't have cravings for sugar anymore
. It actually taste nasty to me. I am loosing about 2-4 lbs a week. I started the cleanse on July 19th. What I eat now is nothing like I used to. I don't do "Gluten" there are a lot of gluten free products out there that are rather tasty. I eat veggies, fruits, seeds, nuts and I still eat meat, just not red. My stomach has shrunk so much that I really only eat palm size meat when I do. And trust me when I say a little takes me a long way. I have kept positive through the whole thing because changing your "BAD" eating habits is a "LIFE" change. I am 36 years old and I want to be healthy and YES look AWESOME in a bikini next summer. I have struggled with looking at myself in the mirror naked like my doctor said. But now I do it because I LOVE myself. If people don't love themselves enough things don't work and are not as effective as if we do. Seeing the inches melt is amazing. The "Candida" in my body is gone --> this is what makes us crave "BAD" foods. Now it's just all GOOD things for me. 1 hurdle I have is that I hate exercising so this is my next wall to "tear down".
GREAT LUCK AND SUCCESS TO EVERYONE ON BETTER HEALTH.![]()
*waves* hi!!! welcome and it sounds like you're well on your way! congrats on how far you've come!!
i hear ya on the exercise thing. being on here sort of pushed me exercise, even when i didn't want to. i know the biggest thing for me, was to START SLOW, something i never do because i'm soooo impatient. i'd usually try and run for an hour, or lift too much, hurt the next day and never do anything again. lol >.< every little it helps!
anyway, nice to meet you! and welcome! :D
Welcome to CC. It's a very nice place for support and motivation. It seems as though a lot of people here don't have any problem with exercise and they do it daily, sometimes for hours! I'm bascially lazy...all the things I like to do involve sitting! But I did join a karate school. It's a good workout, but I don't think of it as exercise, it's more learning and doing something fun. Maybe you could find something that sounds like fun first. How about yoga? I did an 8 week class just to see what it was about. I enjoyed it. It's low impact, but you do use lots of muscle. I felt like it would be a nice addition to the karate, either before or after a class. Another thing that I enjoy is walking somewhere with a purpose. I love moves and there's a theater that is a 5 mile walk round trip. So I get exercise and a treat in the middle!
Welcome to CC i am sure you will find lots of support and help on this site as i have people here are all very understanding to what you are dealing with as most of us trying to lose are dealing with pretty much the same issues. You sound like you have a good grasp of the situation and are ready to go forward. I also an not a big exerciser not because i dont want to be but because of physical limitations but i work around them. I do a lot of swimming for my exercise and some treadmill so maybe thats something you could find and interest in.
Have a great day and again Welcome
Hi, I am new too. I need to loose weight also. I have overcome the hurdle of exercising. I love to walk. I do 2-3 miles, 5 days a week. Wednesday I did do 4 miles. So far I have lost 38 lbs. I need to overcome food! Food is the beast for me.
