What is your Starbucks drink dove2424
  Jul 25 2008 13:26

The other thread got me thinking about this.. The reason I am curious is I always get the same thing....  Grande coffee with a shot of sugar free carmel syrup and room for milk....  (Skim of course)  So...  What do you get?

I don't have one....sorry!, I would like to know what the fascination with Starbucks is though? we have one at work and I've been twice, but that was only to get a muffin, half price & staff discount so we get them for pennies Laughing

I used to order caramel frappuccinos in the summer and caramel macchiatos in the winter.  After I started calorie counting, I gave up the fraps.  Once gas and food prices escalated, I gave up the macchiatos too.  Now I make my morning coffee at home and I've really gotten used to doing it myself.  I can't really see ever going back to spending $3-4 day on coffee again.  Maybe for an occasional treat but definitely not a daily habit.

I just love the Mocha Frappuccino, preferably with the whipped cream.  It's a lot of calories though!  I'll have to try the caramel someday!

once a week treat

venti iced americano decaf with sugar free vanilla, 1 splenda & 2 tbsp half & half

40 calories

$2.40 + tax

Tall nonfat latte, extra double shot. Own cup.

Edit: ann - it's because there aren't that many proper coffee shops in North America (generalisation, but mostly true) and they have specialty items like frappuccinos.

Yeah mine is like $1.50 a day for coffee.  I have a starbucks card (it was a gift, but I keep putting money on it) and you get free syrups and stuff if you use it so....

Actually to be honest, Starbucks is not my favorite.  Tully's is.  But Alas Tully's is not in Orlando.  But if you want great coffee and you are in Seattle, either Seattle's Best or Tully's is the way to go.  Here in Orlando, we have Barney's (EWW) and Starbucks.  So I choose Starbucks.

Venti White Chocolate Mocha

#12 runnabe15 Jul 25 2008 15:09

yachtracer: THAT SOUNDS SO GOOD :) how many calories is it?

#13 yachtracer1977 Jul 25 2008 15:21
runnabe15: Tall is 90, Grande is 130, and Venti is 160.  The only calories in it is in the skim milk (espresso has minimal calories and the syrups are sugar-free).  :-)
#14 dybo70 Jul 25 2008 15:32

Venti Black Eye!

And before everyone asks what that is, its a large black coffee with 2 shots of esspresso in it!  It is possibly one of my favorite things in the world and the only thing that keeps me going during exams at law school!  Usually I'll have it twice a week, but during exams I average 2 a day.......

#15 karagus Jul 25 2008 15:40

tall skinny sugar free latte.

because tall and skinny is what i want to be, haha.

no, really, its a delicious 90 calories well spent...but i am a poor college student and rarely go to starbucks! :)

#16 rachd Jul 25 2008 15:46
I only go once every few weeks, but lately since it's so hot outside, I've turned to the Grande Iced Coffee, half sweet w/ skim milk...but otherwise it's a grande non-fat peppermint latte...yumm!
#17 jamminatorr Jul 25 2008 15:51

Grande Americano in winter.

Iced Grande Americano in summer.

I don't use sugar or cream in the Americanos. I do in other coffee but I don't seem to need it.

#18 charming_imy27 Jul 25 2008 15:56

Skinny hot mocha and mocha or espresso light frappucino (no whip)

I love it...love it...love it...love it

#19 lexabear Jul 25 2008 15:58

I don't personally support Starbucks, but I used to work next door to one and my boss would buy the opening shift whatever we wanted from there once or twice a week.  My favorite was a peppermint mocha (iced during hot weather) with soy milk and no whipped cream.

#20 cellophane_star Jul 25 2008 16:02
Hot drink: (double) Tall half-sweet vanilla soy latte. I like gingerbread when it's in season

Cold drink: grande half-sweet iced brewed coffee or tall half-sweet doubleshot on ice or unsweetened green tea lemonade.

I have a slight Starbucks obsession.
