I also dont mean to threadjack, but since we are on the subject, does anyone know a more healthy way to make buffalo chicken wings? Maybe In the oven or something?
I am a sucker for hot sauce D: |

I use the daily plate and they say it is about 150 calories per 3 wings plus around 30 cal per T of sauce (so you determine how much sauce was on them) I would say around 65-70 cal per wing and 4-5 fat for BWW. They are fried. The naked tenders are actually not bad, IMO.
The best way to make them Pezzle is to buy the boneless skinless tenders and toss in whatever hot sauce you like. Spray a baking sheet w/ pam and bake in oven at 375 for 20-25 minutes, turning them over midway. You could also do the little wings, but make sure they aren't breaded...the skin adds fat, but the calories are listed on the bag. Side note, the buffalo chips are 300 cal and 26 fat...dang I love those loaded with cheese dipped in blue cheese *dreaming about the good ol' days when I could eat anything and not gain, now I just look at and my butt gets bigger* |

My fiance LOVES chicken wings/fingers. We live in Buffalo, so we can get it anywhere, but it is so ridiculously not good for you. So what I do is just get some boneless chicken breasts and pan fry them. I use some grill seasoning, a bit of paprika and cayenne pepper (use as much or little as you want depends on spice). Then I make my own special blue cheese dressing that is to die for. I buy low-fat blue cheese crumbles and mix a bit of it into some really low fat sour cream...add some chopped up scallions and it is amazing. It tastes way better than blue cheese and a whole lot healthier too! Then just toast up some whole-wheat rolls, slab on some of your homemade dressing, add the chicken and there you go! Delicious and low calorie!
P.S. obviously you can just make chicken breast tenders for regular chicken fingers as well, but the sandwich makes an awesome meal |

"whats the difference between fried and deep fried?"
I think fried = cooked in a pan using oil (like pan fried fish) but deep fried = placed in a basket and cooked by dumping it into a pool of oil (like fries at McDonalds). |

Here's a way I used to get my fix for wings.... take chicken tenderloins about a pound. Put a pan on medium heat and put in about 1 tablespoon of real butter. brown the tenderloins in the butter then coat in your favorite wing sauce I liked quakersteak and lube's louisiana licker. Serve with fat free dressing and carrots/celery. you can also serve with cut up pitas. I got the idea when I lived in Pittsburgh and they served "boneless wings" at quaker steak and lube. much better than deep frying. That little bit of butter gives you the fat you are looking for in the wings with out the skin and deep frying.
I also have a recipe for using the paket of mc cormicks seasonging that's pretty good though I've only used it with shrimp. I take peeled shrimp and toss it in a bag with the mc cormick garlic buffalo wing seasoning and cook on grill or under broiler. I serve those buffalo shrimp on a salad with ranch dressing.
Both of those are my fix for wings. |
