Hi all!  I'm 5'1" and weigh 122 pounds. I'm looking to lose approximately 15 pounds to get down to my pre-marriage weight.......(they say you gain weight from a happy marriage!)

I'd love to start a group of young, motivated individuals looking to lose 10-15 pounds......weekly weigh-ins....menu ideas.....all ideas welcome!

Let's try to keep this group small and dedicated!

Yay!  We have two members!  I've actually been lurking on this board for a while and have lost 8 pounds in 6 weeks already! I'm working out 5-6 times per week and have just begun counting calories......

I'd like to join! I'm 27 years old, 5'5, 126lbs. and would love to be about 115ish. I just got engaged and we haven't set a wedding date but obviously one of these days (a year or two????) I'm going to be walking down the isle and I'd rather start prepping myself for the wedding dress sooner than later. Other than just a healthier me overall, this wedding is my motivation. I do a lot of cooking and would love to swap recipes and exercise tips. I just quit the gym and began outdoor workouts and things are going great. I've never been a part of a group so let me know how this will work and I'm 100% in!

5 foot EVEN  135 lbs!  Eeeeek....

I need to lose a good 15-20 lbs to get back to normal again....  if I lose more than that and I feel good, then GREAT!!

count me in

I shall join too!!! I'm 5'1 and would like to lose 10 more pounds to get down to 120. But looking at everyone's goal here mine seems kind of high!Frown ...

Hey guys!  This sounds like the perfect group for me, I'd love to join!!  I'm 20 years old and 5'3.  On June 15th I weighed 142.4, and I'm looking to get down to 125 (don't worry lovelybecca, my goal weight is higher than you lol, I feel your pain on this one Tongue out)

I currently weigh 134-136 and I have 9-11 pounds to go!!!

Good luck everyone Cool

hey, i'm 5'4", 125 and would like to get down to 115 or so. hopefully this group can motivate me and keep me on track!

Count me in! I've been looking for a group like this, but all of them are closed already.  I'm so glad I found one!

I'm 5'1" and I weigh about 138.  10-15 pounds off would be very nice for me.

Good luck everybody!! I can't wait to get started.

please count me in! 10 pounds would be great and 15 would be even better!

If there's still space I'd like to join.

I'm 5'3", 128lbs and aiming to get down to 118.

If I say my goal is 120, that de-motivates me.  I think "oh, 8lbs, I could lose that any old time," and then I sit on my butt and eat cheese.  But when the goal is 118 I think "oh my goodness, I have to lose TEN POUNDS!! I can't eat that! I'd better get moving!"

I don't think there is any room for me but if there is I would love to join! I'm 5'1.5" 115ish and would like to lose 10 pounds, maybe more. I'll just be happy getting into the 10? category again!

I think you might have already hit the 10 member mark but is there room for one more?

Im 5'8 135 and trying to get down to 120-125

Ive come down from about 220 and could really use this motivation as my final push

Of course there's room!  A group of 11 is fine :)

I'm trying to figure exactly how many calories I should be eating per day.....right now im 27 at 122pounds 5'1". I work in the office all day long and exercise about 5 times per week.....light weights and abs and 30 minutes of cardio.......Is 1230 enough?  I'm looking to get around 112 by the end of the summer.....

Hi! I think you're over ten volunteers but can I join too? *bats eyelashes* I'm 24, 5ft 0in and if my scales are to be believed (which I don't think they are) I'm 132lbs. But seeing as I'm sticking with them, the weight loss will be relative so all is good. Anyway, 10-15lbs is my goal exactly.

I've just begun counting calories since... Sunday and so far have worked out 4 times this week. Will do another session tonight. My current obstacle is wedding season - attempting to eat healthily while surrounded by cakes and biscuits and greasy foods... ARGH! I need all the help and motivation I can get LOL :)

truly the more motivated people the better......please feel free to join :)

Everyone sounds like they have good realistic goals! I'm confident this group can get them done.  Sometimes August is a time of sitting in a deck chair eating ice cream ... but it doesn't have to be! (I for one, don't get any vacation, so I'll be jealous if you guys are doing that.)

Lila - does wedding season mean bad food options one night a week, or are there dozens of pre-wedding dos that you have to attend as well?

Pokeme, I hear you about "just generally getting off your duff more." I resolve to crank the music and dance in my house when I get home from work!

I know I should start just rocking out. When I get off work my night consists of watching TV or watching my boyfriend play video games

I cook dinner and get some movement but I wind up snacking while I cook so whatever I get off gets right back on

my bf does have a wii fit, so Im going to try and do some of that when I get home from work more often

but Im generally so tired, because I never sleep well at night, that all I want to do after work is "veg out"

Here's hoping our goals are easily manageable! I am on vacation actually (school teacher ;)) and I'll be heading off to Cyprus for two weeks which really isn't going to help but I am going to TRY.

Wedding season - from tomorrow (Saturday 26) all the way through to next Sunday (3rd Aug) = bad food options. However, I'm going to be going to the gym every morning (well, 6 of 9 days) and I'm going to keep water and fruit handily available. Any other tips would be MUCH appreciated!!

I started drinking the right amount of water today and running to the loo every 30mins is getting tedious. And I've gained water weight but it's supposed to be better for you in the long run. FIngers crossed!
