i'm trying to lose some weight, obviously. i'm 5'2 and like 140 trying to eventually get to 115, but i have this stupid mind-set where if ONE THING goes wrong during the day, i binge horribly. today i had to come home sick from summerschool and couldn't go to the gym, and ate 2 bananas, a huge chocolate bar, a glass of soymilk and some bread! and i hadn't binged for three days too! UGH. how do i get over this stupid "everything must be perfect or bust" mindset? i know i can't have everyday perfect :( |

I am no expert at anti-binges. So bare with me. If you have certain times that you feel that you need to binge, ask yourself what caused the urge (IE. stress, being late, whatever). Now make a plan-of-action to help prevent being in that situation. If you can't figure it out talk with a friend. They maybe able to see it from a different view and give you some insight from a different angle. Now, In the case that something comes up and you feel the need to eat, have a snack ready that has next to no calories or fat in them (IE sugar free jello, sliced bell peppers, etc) Be sure to limit how much you snack on while you have the urge to binge. Yes, it's hard, but you can do it. I hope this gives you some direction. Good luck. |
