| Artificial Sweeteners | ||

This is very interesting. Well explained. I recently gave up artificial sweeteners almost completely. The only exception is Sugar Free Mrs. Butterworths syrup. If I find an alternative to that I will give it up too. I only use 1 tbs about once a week so it is not much. I eat clean already so it was not hard to do. Anyway. I have noticed a difference since giving it up and thought others might be interested in this.

I'm actually about to embark on the splenda-free journey myself. I'm nervous. What differences have you noticed?? Hopefully your answers can inspire me and my will power! Thanks! |

I did it because I am trying to eat clean and anything artificial is not recommended. I am not perfect in my clean eating habits but doing very well. Mostly fresh, whole foods, no white carbs, very little salt. No sugar except what is in my cheerios and my Friday cheat dinner. I was putting splenda in my tea and buying a lot of products with splenda and drinking diet pop. Gave up the pop about 6-7 months ago. Don't miss it. Gave up splenda in my tea about 2 months ago. Miss it a little but I was getting bloated and after I drank the tea I was really hungry. That has stopped for the most part. Plus it is just not good for you. Also left a funny taste in my mouth. So occasionally if it is in something I eat I might get a little but for the most part I am splenda free. |
