AHHHHHHhhhhhh!!!
Damn you Free office donuts!!! Damn you!!!
Their box sat next me to me all through my lunch. (I had to close the lid so they would stop speaking to me) I even debated a half a donut but resisted. I went back in there to get my lunch tea and they still started screaming at me again - they want me to eat them.
Someone remind me why I don't want to eat the chocolate dipped donuts on the lunch room table - QUICKLY!!!
You dont want to eat the donuts. Youll only feel worse later. Think of all your progress, is a few mouthfulls worth the detriment itll cause?
You don't want to eat it because you have lost 11.8 lbs and you only have 2.8 to go!!!!!!
Yeah You!!!!!
Thanks ladies...
I hate how our taste buds argue with our brains and try to justify things like free office lunch room donuts sometimes.
My brain says no and my mouth says yes yes!
2.8 lbs away.... 2.8 lbs away.... Plus I don't need the guilt!!!
I'm not going back in there the rest of the workday! :P
keep fighting it!! You've done amazing so far! Only 2.8 pounds to go; you don't want to let those evil chocolate covered calories get in the way of your health and happiness!
They have been sitting there all day. Probably stale and yucky tasting by now.
I work in a student union and there is the University convenience store right down the hall from my office. It is a daily struggle to ignore the candy, snacks, sandwiches, and case full of Krispy Kreme donuts....
I actually think it might be worse than the Panda Express, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Sabarro, Steak Escape, etc that are in the food court next door.
Ugh..I live in junk food heaven.
Eyes are very easily fooled!
I read that there have been studies that we are more likely to eat something if it's in our sight constantly. Resist it!
On the other hand, if this sort of thing happens often you can keep a bowl of fruit or even some sliced up fruits and vegetables (in a plastic/glass box) near your desk so you see that too, or something like that. This can include small ammounts of costly but super nice fruits like berries. You can have some herb/fruit tea at the office to distract your senses from the office lunch room "monsters":) .Or even photos of healthy/motivational stuff (maybe just one but special) if that's not too weird. Or as desktop:) Maybe it's just silly but I had to suggest something at least:)
Congratulations on your efforts. :)))))
Whatever your problem area is, imagine a donut stuck on top of it. Is it worth it? NO!

and if you have a bad imagination, grab a donut and tape it to your body...maybe we can start a new fashion trend with all the unhealthy food we don't eat?
Now I am seeing donuts taped to my tits.... Maybe on my belly button... It could catch on ![]()
ACK! LMAO!!!!
I almost feel like the only human who doesn't like donuts! Either way, it's not worth it. No food is. You won't remember it a week from now.
Is this a regular thing at your office, or just the occasional thing put out by a particular manager?
If it's a regular thing and your company has a suggestion box, suggest that they also offer some kind of fresh fruit or 100 cal snack packs for people who don't, or can't, eat donuts.
(My company always offers free donuts and mega-bagels at monthly company meetings, despite the implementation of a "wellness committee" to encourage healthier lifestyles. I put a suggestion in our suggestion box to include healthier snacks like fruit. Lo and behold, at our next meeting, there was a bowl of fresh fruit.)
I love ths strapping it to my body imagery: My ponch does not require extra donut lumps!
I think this free office crap food is a common office issue. Usually it all arrives as leftovers from some meeting (usually the visiting suppliers bring them in to share!)
Typically I am a good resister - somehow my desk is the location for the office candy jar. I haven't had one in months. My desk drawer is filled with chocolate bars from Christmas that I don't touch.
Just that one day of feeling tempted enough that I had to write about it...
Is is pathetic that I still feel pretty bummed out about only having lost 0.2lbs last week and I DIDN'T treat myself to that donut?!?! But I guess that is the equivalent of LOSING a donut - so I shouldn't be so bummed out by the slowness that is my weight loss.
Damn donuts are BACK!
Right next to the water cooler too. So much for trying to stay hydrated today...
THey have yummier flavours than last time. And muffins too. Even chocolate chip muffins.
DON'T DO IT.
