Hello everyone! I am out with friends tonight for a birthday celebration. We are going to a pub and I am going right from work. What's the safest out of pub food to eat if they dont have grilled chicken?? I have about 600 calories a lotted to dinner and I will be drinking water when I am there.

Thanks!

Just an idea....

How about just enjoy your evening and eat?  I go to a local sports pub once a week for beer, wings, and nachos and I am still losing weight.  I truly believe it gives your metabolism a bit of a boost.  (I always make sure I DO work out that day and drink lots of water the next day to rid of the extra sodium!)

I normally would but yesterday I was out all day and than went out dinner and had my "bad/cheat" day yesterday.  Thanks for the advice though.  I am going to start drinking water now! :)

If they don't have a grilled chicken option on the menu (although I'm sure they will), ask if they can make it anyway, or treat yourself to a hamburger (maybe 86 the bun to save calories) or if possible, turkey burger?  The best advice is just to avoid nachos, any deep-fried (french fries, chicken wings/tenders) and enjoy yourself! :)  Most pubs have a bigger menu than you might think and I'm sure you'll be able to find something!

If you have access to a fax machine at work, they might be able to fax you a menu this afternoon so you can look at it before you leave.

How about a salad with grilled chicken!! -- ask for dressing on the side!!

That would be your healthiest option :)
