I am thinking about buying a small tub of Dreyer's ice cream.  I was wondering a) what your opinions are on the brand, and b) what flavor you suggest I buy (since this IS a rather large tub and I'm going to be eating it for a while, as I'm limiting my serving sizes xD).  I'm not a huge fan of chocolate ice cream, and not interested in cookie dough or cookies n cream (unless the latter is exceptionally good xD)

I love both their cookie dough and cookies 'n' cream ice cream. They're tasty :]  But I like the strawberry as well.

so, it's not Dreyers, and I'm sure it's not healthy, but I had the best ice cream flavor ever. It's Ben and Jerry's and it's oatmeal cookie ice cream!!! It's Cinnamon flavored ice cream with real oatmeal cookie pieces in it and little fudge chips. Oh so good. Not sure if it's new, but I just discovered it and it's terrific!

Im pretty sure dreyers is the same as edy's.  Therefore-- mint chocolate chip, grasshopper, moosetracks, and i think they also have like a cherry chocolate chip that is awesome.

hm, i think the running theme there was chocolate.

breyers has the best strawberry and peach ice creams.  they taste ultra fresh and just... real.  like sugar, cream, and fruit.  yum.

if you like sorbet, go with ben and jerrys lemon ice.  refreshing and healthy!

if you have greater's at ur grocery (only in the midwest i think), their rasberry sorbet is great and their raspberry chip is out of this world (rasberry ice cream with huge chocolate chunks).

gosh i dont even like ice cream.

 yup! its dreyers on the west coast and edy's on the east coast, but its the same product

to the op-- the cookies and cream is really good...but thn again cookies and cream is my favorite!! O:-)

i love the haagen daas strawberry...i love it so much that if i keep it in the house...i would eat it in one sitting...i am a straight forward vanilla and strawberry kinda girl...no cookies and ganola for me in my icecream :-D

Definately... the cookie dough.

Dryers is good to me.. but my dad said it makes his stomach upset? >.> So idunno bout him. i have a pretty strong stomach and the rest of my fam loves it!!!

AND! Dryers is the same as Edy's

Edy's is to Dryers just like Hardees is to Carls' Jr.

Me too!  Love vanilla and strawberry haha...how does dreyer's own up to these flavors?

I don't mean to be rude in an ice cream thread (but I probably will be anyway), but maybe you should take that part out of your original post if you don't want these flavors even mentioned in the thread.  People have recognized your statement about this and have stated that they like them.  So, you don't.  Skippy.  Many people have agreed that these brands taste very good.  Why don't you just go to the store and pick a flavor that sounds good to you?  The fact that there are people whose favorite flavors are ones that you are not even willing to consider should tell you that you should just pick what YOU like.  We've established the ice cream brand(s) are good.   So, someone posts a flavor that sounds amazing to you, but your store(s) don't carry it.  What then? 

Ice cream flavor favorites is a very individual, personal thing.  That said, it's just a carton of ice cream; go to the store and pick a flavor that sounds great to you.  It should be relatively painless. 

Ah, maybe I have been too generic about the word "latter." I meant cookies n cream xD; I just don't want to waste money since American-branded ice cream in China is twice as expensive as in America, in American dollars >______> Is that so much to ask? =\

But yeah, I guess I'll go buy the strawberry xD;  I'm just afraid of being disappointed haha...and then be left with a huge expensive tub to finish =o

Dreyer's Slow Churned is really good and has half the fat and a few less calories.  My daughter likes their Caramel Delight.
