What do you mean by diet tea? Green tea is good for you... But teas with a laxative effect are not. It's best to stay away from them.. they can cause some serious damage to your digestive system. If you need some help with bowel movements, then drink a glass of prune juice on an empty stomach for breakfast once every week or so. |

You can get prune juice at any supermarket! Make sure you get the natural kind.. not the ones that are sweetened. |

Prunes in general are good if you are having issues. I haven't really tried prune juice but prunes do the trick. Also I find things like Bran Flakes help too. Green tea is definitely good for you. There have been many reports regarding its health benefits. See: Miracle of Green Tea As for the suggestion that most teas have laxative effects, I personally have not heard of or experienced that. I love my tea :) (Since I am British and originally from the indian sub-continent - drinking tea is part of both my cultures. We love a good cuppa) I know that tea and coffee can be diuretic and if you are not used to it you will probably end up going to the toilet more often then usual. In any case the benefits of tea (especially green tea) are known. |
