I was just wondering if this site is kind of another version of the ED-recovery site or if there are any other gainers who's struggles pertain to gaining from an already normal+ intake and not coming back from weight loss and/or a fear of food/fat/weight gain?

PLEASE don't be offended-those of you who are making the brave quest to beat ED.  I have had close friends and now clients who have to battle this and I know it takes a strength that few posess.

I guess I just feel alone in my own situation sometimes, because I haven't lost weight and my weight gain struggles aren't so much overcoming a fear to eat normal/real foods and all that.  I feel like the fat kid who wants to lose weight but feels stuck that way, only reversed.

This board tends to get a lot of ED recoverers but not exclusively.  If you're simply underweight and struggling to gain then a lot of the advice is going to be relevant to you.  Plus you have the advantage that you're not frightened about gaining!   I'm not in your situation personally, but wanted to wish you well.

If you find gaining weight difficult a good place to start is by keeping a food diary for a few days.  The CC one will show you how much you're taking in and where the gaps/shortfalls are.   Understanding where you're starting from can make it easier to plot a route to where you want to get to.
Gi-Jane is right. The board does get a lot of recovers from eds due to the need to gain healthy weight, however, there are also many individuals who are underweight due to other illnesses, or just simply underweight and trying to gain in general (like yourself).

WELCOME...

Feel free to post here anytime for advice. Gaining no matter what the circumstances can be just as hard as trying to lose.

I hope you feel at home, feel free to message me if you need to.
