It's going on 11 pm and I've got over 1000 calorie deficit and I'm FULL! I don't want to eat any more! What now!
Maybe you could drink something? Sometimes when I'm full, i can still drink some juice. Or a big spoonfull of peanut butter is delicious and not too much food.
Yeaaahh. This is kind of a dumb problem. Hahaha. There are plenty of things you could do. Eat a tbsp of peanut butter... drink some milk/juice... take a shot of olive oil... One tbsp of olive oil is not going to make your stomach burst.
You could even suck on a couple of mints or those hard caramel candies.
Actually I don't think there's anything wrong with having this kind of deficit occassionally. Last night I had a similar deficit .... and ate a piece of fruit bread because I thought I should. Didn't want it .... didn't enjoy it ... felt overstuffed and dumb afterwards .... Look, hey, supoosedly we're here to learn to eat right .... and what skinny people do is eat when they're hungry .... and don't when they're not. Do you get what I mean??? What's with being "pushed" into eating just because we've done more exercise than usual ... or eaten more veg etc.
I had this problem yesterday, too! I ended the night by eating 2 tbsps peanut butter with some sunflower seeds (unsalted) sprinkled on top. That at least got me a little above 1200. Luckily, I wasn't overstuffed.
I was wondering about this too. My sister is doing this and last night she said to me "I've still got 1,000 calories, fancy dinner?"
Clearly you don't HAVE to use up all of your calories but should you try each day to hit that target? I'm only at 534 after a yogurt and coffee for breakfast and some fish, asparagus, spinach and a vokda for lunch. I'm supposed to have another 1,200 calories today?! I'm stuffed as it is and there's not much time left in the day....
I just spent the whole day cleaning our entire house (took me six hours) and lifted weights at the gym for 80 minutes, the calorie meter says <1000 but I just don't feel hungry. I had a major deficit last night too but decided to go with my body and went to sleep with an empty stomach - and I felt fantastic in the morning! Full of energy, lean and rested. The numbers on the screen aren't the be-all-and-end-all of it, I choose to trust my own body.
When I have a big deficit like that, that's when I have something I've been wanting, but haven't had the calories for. You know what I'm talking about... cheesecake, ice cream, macaroni and cheese (real deal, not the box crap), etc.
