does anyone feel crazy guilty when you dont excercise for one day?
all i can think about if im sitting at my computer is. wow, you should be doing something. but if its my day off from excercise, i should enjoy it right?
i feel guilty when i don't exercise too, but sometimes, you just need a break. so, try not to feel bad.
lol i feel that way too also i feel guilty when i eat too much!
Yes.
I try to have atleast one day off every week from my usual routine. Keeps things fresh, keeps me excited to workout the next day, lets me rest a little. It's nice. I used to end tell myself "No exercise today, stay sitting!" but that just made me so motivated to work out..
So now instead of telling myself I can't work out that day, I find a different activity. Like DDR, Belly Dancing.. or any other kind of dancing. Going out for a walk to the park and playing on the jungle gym/swings is also fun, but I can't really do that during the summer. @_@
If it makes you feel so dang guilty, why not just exercise on a lower intensity that day, or find something fun to do that involves moving for as long as you would exercise. I find that if you do that, and count that as exercise, you'll feel better. :D
Oh yes!!!
Everytime!!! When I do not exercise I feel terrible. Today I say this day it's my "day off" but 1 hr later I was doing exercise!!!!(haaaa) what's wrong whit me!!! and even when I feel so tired I can stop doing it because then I feel bad and that physicologic game just beat me!!!! But I promise tomorrow it's my day off!!!!! I need at least one but it's hard to me because I think I'm ADICCTED to exercise!!!!
You should rest at least one day a week. Also don’t do heavy-duty strength training more than every other day. You muscles need time to rebuild. I like to ride by recumbent bike a lot; I missed a day and felt I did not earn the right to eat, (I got over it * smirk *). But I noticed that the next day I was able to just tear up some hills that had been a grind before. So you body does need time to rest, recover and rebuild. But yea exercise is addictive.
I just get really antsy! I need my rollerblading, soccer and climbing!
Whenever I feel I need to balance out a "just relax" day, I do sit-ups while watching TV during the commercial breaks, or walk briskly around the house while waiting for something to cook. During the summer it's always nice to take walks around the neighborhood, too, and it isn't stressful at all.
