| How many calories in a pound of fresh fruit? | ||
| Jul 22 2008 20:08 | ||
I purchase pre-cut fresh fruit at my Kroger's grocery store pretty often. The ingredients change occasionally, but a typical bowl will include some or all of the following: watermelon, pineapple, honey dew, cantalope, red grapes, blue berries, blackberry, stawberries, cherries I usually purchase a one pound container (about the size of 3 cups of water). I'm wondering how many calories are in 1 lbs of fresh mixed fresh fruit? |

| You'll have to do your homework on this one. I would use the tools on this website to get a better estimate. I think you can eat almost a 1/2 cantalope for 100 calories, a cup of grapes is 55 calories, a serving of blueberries is 50, same for strawberries. Like I said, you'd have to check the cals per serving and then divide to get a more accurate guess. | ||

I would say about 250 calories for 3 cups of fruit. |
