Warning: If you dont want any temptation, do not read further!

Wednesday, July 30th The Cheesecake Factory is offering one per person one slice of cheesecake for $1.50.  I post for those who would allot there calories for such a treat or who have cheat days.  Too much of a trigger for me personally and now that Ive passed this along, Im now purging this fact from my "loves a bargain" brain - haha.

oh man.

how many calories in a cheesecake? i will have to make space, most definitly.

#3 torpidire Jul 21 2008 18:11

thanks for sharing! It depends on the cheesecake, theswissmiss. They have one that's made with splenda that's supposed to be lower-carb and probably lower cal too, but I would guess probably not too significantly so. I'd allot (yikes!) 350-650, wouldn't you guys say? If you can't fit that many in, nobody said you had to eat it all by yourself! Maybe a cheesecake date with a significant other or friend? A few spoonfuls of cheesecake always do it for me. yum!

I don't like cheesecake (thank god) but i know that the "low carb" cheesecake is worse calorie wise (610 calories) than some of there others.  It is NOT low-cal.  Just wanted to warn you.  Some of their cheesecakes are isted here

OMG how big are the slices for 600 calories?! We don't have them in the uk, i cant decide if thats a good thing or not.. But damn thats a lot of calories for something so unfilling!

*drool*

Pumpkin Cheesecake.  Actually, I don't think they have that one in the summer.  Grrr!

We only have 1 Cheesecake Factory in town.  I'm sure it will be a madhouse on the 30th.  Probably best to just avoid it and get my cheesecake fix during the holidays, as usual.

Thanks for the info, though.  I may change my mind.

Go past one on my way home from work every darn day!  It's worth the stop, I have self control (most of the time).  I can be good w/ a few bites and put the rest in the freezer until I reach my goal weight, which is only like 2 lbs away now =)

White chocolate rasberry truffle w/ rasberry sauce on the side, topped w/ white chocolate shavings and the most perfectly thick icing like whipped cream here I come!

Haha, I am wondering if they are offering this special due to NY's new law about posting the calories on everything - are they trying to remind people about how good their cheesecakes are so taht they keep coming, despite the calorie and fat intake of those oh-so-good cream-cheesy goodness? xD

600 calories - yikes, didnt even check and might not have posted had I LOL.  BUT Im a sucker for a bargain and while I'd dont trust myself to go for it, this might be a great dessert to share considering what Ive heard about their taste (or NOT share depending on how occasional a treat it is for you :D).

most of their cheesecakes are prolly around 600-800 calories and packed with sugar and fat. And they definitely fill you up. You most likely will feel a little sick after eating all that fat and sugar. But I'm still going. Just split it three ways with my mom and dad. Makes it around 250 calories and you'll be satisfied.

Also, the low carb cheesecake is a lot better for u. I noticed it only had 6g of carbs. Just b/c something is lower in carbs doesn't mean it'll be that much lower in calorie content. But its more for people who may be diabetic and are trying to watch their carb intake.
