I am going insane with classes and work right now. I have an assignment due at 9 am tomorrow and I have been working on it all day, but I have horrible writer's block. It's not even half done. :(
And this stress is making making want to binge SO badly. I'm right at my maintenence calories, so if I eat anything I'll be over.
Any suggestions on how to fight this??
i have writers block also... and i did binge, a bit. had a big dinner after walking a fund raiser walk (12 miles!) and it doesnt help this writers block. my essay is due in 2 and a half hours, and i havent started!
all i can say is good luck, and concentrate hard on the tasks you must do! that helps me most of the time
Drink some water, take a shower, chew some gum, watch some tv, or better yet call somebody. Just stay out of the kitchen! I've been exactly where you are so many times. It's hard for me to give advice though, because I'm trying to recovery from bulimia and I don't know the kind of advice that I would even take.
Talk yourself down.
If you actually have cravings or hunger, you might want to drink some tomato juice or water. Usually the desires we have only last a few minutes. I know the feeling of being stressed and want to binge.. I hope all goes well for you.
I try to tell people the best way to fight wanting junkfood, is to eat healthy foods THAT YOU ENJOY for 3 weeks straight, not any..I repeat this.. NOT ANY TYPE of junk foods, and you will be able to say no to any type of junkfood that is freely offered to your face. I don't know if it's whats in the foods is toxic and our bodies have cleansed, or if its just a state of mind.. but it works.
I like the idea of that 3 week cleanse. I think I'll even try it!
Yeah bucketofglitter4, I'm not a doctor or anything, but my girlfriend and I don't even crave anything but healthy foods. The 3 diets I tried, she ended up stopping after 2 weeks and pulling me with her back in a circle of eating bad. Shame on me! You basically have to stick to gluten-free, no sugar foods and drink only water or tomato juices like v8. I'm not sure if coffee would be a junk beverage, because I never have drank coffee. It does have caffeine tho. Soft drinks are a no-no. It was someone's birthday at work last week, I passed on cake and icecream, and I didn't even eat anything that day yet. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
Next time you feel that binge urge drink some hot tea with lemon. The warm liquid will expand the stomach creating a sense of being full.
honestly, when i feel like binge-eating at night, the best thing for me to do is just to go to bed.
make TEA!!!!!!
or do crunches. Then go to sleep!
When I want to eat late at night and I start doing some sit-up type things, it makes me feel like, "why would I want to eat?!? Right now?"
GUM IS THE ANWSER( atleast for me lol) but dont give up fight with that bingeing desire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
